Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) Arnis athlete, Paula P. Gayo, triumphantly secures 3rd place in the Arnis Provincial competition held at President Elpidio Quirino National High School on December 12, 2025.

With the guidance of her coaches, Sir Michael James E. Ergino and Ma'am Joanna E. Abalos, she successfully defeated Unit 4 which brings her to stand proud on the podium with a smile.

Her teachers and friends are present at the venue, cheering for her until her last game and showing up for the awarding to witness her claim victory.

Competing solo, the PCLU family are glad for her achievement and will support her in every step.

The Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) Robotics Team, representing the Philippines and winning Gold ranking at the Global Artificial Intelligence Robot (GAR) 2025 World Championship Contest, held in Seremban, Malaysia on December 5–9, 2025 arrived home safely today December 10, 2025.

Youngest elementary student, Thirdy Yedaiah D. Agno, who is 9 years old, won Gold ranking First Prize along with 3 Senior High School students; John E. Viray, John Kenneth G. Orellano, and Galvin Ehli Roi P. Sison.

Junior High School students; Marizelle Dina Caitlyn L. Parejas, Jonina Avis E. Alvendia, and Joseph T. Veloria brought home with Philippines' pride a 2nd Place award in this year's competition.

With their achievements, the PCLU welcomed the champions with a sword arch coming from the school's royal guards to welcome and honor the Robotics Team for their achievements and outstanding performance at the GAR 2025 World Championship Contest.

The faculty, admins, and students are also present in the welcoming of the champions showing their appreciation and support for the school's representatives.

𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗖𝗟𝗨, 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝗼

Ipinagdiriwang ng bayan ng Agoo, La Union ang ika-447 na anibersaryo nito nitong Disyembre 8, 2025. Naging tampok sa selebrasyon ang makulay at kumikinang na Lantern Parade, na agad na umagaw ng atensyon ng mga Agoeños. Hindi nagpahuli ang mga mag-aaral ng PCLU, na buong siglang nakilahok sa parada at nagpakitang-gilas habang may ngiting bumabati sa bawat manonood.

Sa okasyong ito, ipinamalas nila ang kanilang pagkamalikhain sa paggawa ng sariling bersyon ng mga parol at pailaw na sila mismo ang nagdisenyo at ipinakita sa parada. Hindi lamang kagandahan ng ilaw ang kanilang dala, kundi pati ang sigla, talento, at diwa ng pagkakaisa. Ang bawat kulay ng ilaw na makikita sa parada ay sumisimbolo sa katatagan ng bayan ng Agoo, isang pagpupugay sa anibersaryo at sa mga taon ng pag-unlad na nagdaan.

Patuloy na nagiging dahilan ng kasiyahan ang pagdiriwang na ito, na nagbubuklod sa bawat mamamayan at kabataan upang masaksihan ang makukulay na ilaw na nagsisilbing gabay at liwanag ng komunidad.

Pagbubukas ng Lighting Ceremony at Fireworks Display, ginanap sa Polytechnic College of La Union ngayong December 1, 2025. Ang kaganapang ito ay bukas para sa mga mamamayan ng Agoo.

Ang programang ito ay para sa lahat, partikular sa mga batang napili na nagmula sa baranggay San Nicolas Sur para sa pagbibigay ng regalo na handog ng PCLU. Mayroon ding inihandang Christmas Play at Christmas Carol na inihanda ng mga mag-aaral ng PCLU. May naganap na raffle draw na para sa mga estudyante ng PCLU. Sa parehong araw din ginanap ang pagpapasiya sa mga nanalo sa paggawa ng belen at parol na ginawa ng iba’t ibang departamento ng PCLU.

Ang kaganapang ito ay nagdulot ng kasiyahan hindi lamang sa mga mag-aaral, g**o, at mga tauhan ng PCLU, ito ay nagdulot din ng saya sa mga taong dumalo at nakibahagi sa Seremonya sa Pag-iilaw at Fireworks Display.

The battle of intelligence ignited once again for the 2025 Inter-Division Chess, held on November 28, 2025, at SMA AGOO, where every player relied on both their hands and minds as they thought deeply and made strategic moves throughout the entire competition. Their hands moved swiftly across the board, calculating every move their opponents played, until one executed a brilliant strategy that changed the odds and the winning rates of the entire match.

The PCLU representative, Ryzen James Aspillaga, showcased composure throughout the entire INTER-DIVISION. Every move he made was calculated precisely, as he carefully analyzed not only his own options but also the intentions behind his opponents’ actions. His eyes never left the board in every match, studying each piece, observing his opponents’ movements, and anticipating possible outcomes before committing to a decision. This level of patience allowed him to stay in control of the game flows, proving that in chess, a well-calculated move can result in an unexpected bold move that turns the match around.

With the steady guidance of his coach, Mrs. Glorly Aoay, her support and mentorship played a vital role throughout his entire competition from cluster meet until inter division. Overall, he demonstrated exceptional skill and strategic play throughout the entire Inter-Division Chess. His calculated moves led him to secure checkmate, earning him the gold medal and advancing him to the Provincial level.

The Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU), Athletics Team earned multiple victories and medals in the APSCU INTER- DIVISION MEET held at Dmmmsu and Tambayan Billiards Hall, securing a collection of medals in both Athletics and Billiards. The team highlights the Silver Medals in the 5000-meter run, which qualified the athlete for the upcoming Provincial Meet.

The team also captured Bronze Medals within different track events, relays, triple jump, and billiards in both categories. Additional, included the strong finished of 4th place in the 100-meter run and 6th place in 800 meter run.

These achievements and outcomes reflect the students' athletes' discipline and determination in their chosen sport, their hard work paid off by winning and gaining multiple medals. Their success is not only an achievements but also an inspiration to peers.

The PCLU Taekwondo athletes triumphed with joy, bagging 2 golds in the 2025 Interdivision Meet, Kyurogi Category 3 and Category 5. The event was held at Saint Mary's Academy on November 28, 2025. With their extraordinary skills, they secured their spot for the Provincial Meet. They're ecstatic about what the future holds, and one thing's for sure, they're going to raise PCLU's pride on the taekwondo stage.

The event is not just a plain competition, but rather a showdown of discipline and skills. Each contender showcases their techniques, pushing their limits and proving themselves. The strong kicks, punches, and perfect stance leave the crowd in awe. All athletes give everything they've got. It's a tough competition, but the PCLU athletes didn't disappoint. Their strong determination to rise to the top is visible in each of their movements. They display focus, strength, and agility with every move, making the crowd hyped.

The PCLU Taekwondo team's win of two gold medals in Kyurogi Category 3 and Category 5 shows how hard they've worked and how dedicated they are. They are looking forward to doing their best in the Provincial Meet and bagging more golds, raising the pride of PCLU in the field of Taekwondo. They're making not just their coaches and fans proud, but also the whole school.

The PCLU Women’s Futsal team once again brought home gold for the family! They didn’t just come to participate, they came to sn**ch the gold at the 2025 Inter-Division held on November 28, 2025, at DMMMSU-SLUC. On the court, the team showcased exceptional skill and chemistry, executing clean and precise passes that kept the flow of the game firmly under their control. Communication stood as their greatest asset, allowing them to stay coordinated and make quick, smart decisions throughout the match. Their strategic use of diamond passing gave them structure and efficiency, ultimately leading the team to a commanding 18–0 victory.

Beyond the team’s performance, the victory reflected the hard work they had poured into their entire training. Their preparation mainly focused on proper passing and consistent footwork drills. Most importantly, they never forgot to include prayer throughout their preparation, always asking for God’s guidance before every game.

Guided by their coach, Coach Pao, the players stepped onto the court motivated by his words: “Don’t lose heart, you can do this,” and “I’m here, I’ll fight for you.” His encouragement strengthened the team’s determination and fueled their drive to win. Seeing their coach smile at the end of the match became one of their biggest highlights, a reminder that they were playing not only for themselves, but also for a coach who genuinely loves, believes in, and supports them every step of the way.

As the PCLU Women’s Futsal team now sets their sights on the upcoming Provincial level, their focus remains clear. With their strong communication, solid strategy, and unbreakable bond, the team is more than ready to face the next challenge and their aim to bring another gold home.

PCLU just once again brought home the gold! Our very own Men’s Sepak Takraw team didn't just compete at the APSCU Inter-Division Meet 2025, they absolutely called the shots and paved the way for victory. From the first serve to the final thrilling tekong they unleashed at the field of DMMMSU-SLUC this November 28, 2025.
The first Regu wasted no time, crushing their opponents in two straight sets and posting a commanding 21-point on lead. From the second Regu they seized control of the court, stormed to a powerful three-set win, leaving their rivals far behind in the last match with just 15 points driving the Golden Medal secured and Mission accomplished for the next provincial awaits!

Following their successful run at the APSCU Inter-Division Meet 2025, when asked about the biggest hurdle during the tournament, Ms. Beal Jessica Marzan, their coach admitted to have a feeling of slight unease due to the uncertainty surrounding their opponents. However, this feeling was quickly shift by a deep trust in her players' talent. “As their coach, I trust them completely and have never questioned their talent in the sport of Sepak”, She also reminded them that the goal is to score not to show off. Above all, the future preparation for the provincial will center on strengthening the team's self-belief.

This victory is not just through the final score. It is the pure embodiment of the heart, the hustle, and the unbreakable PCLU family pride! ✨

The Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) is proud of its Table Tennis Doubles team as Kate Baltazar and Benaiah Arellano won at the APSCU Inter-Division Meet 2025. The duo showed quick moves, good teamwork, and steady play, helping them take control of their matches. 🏓💪

Kate and Benaiah gave their best in every game, proving how much their practice and effort paid off. Their win brings happiness and pride to the whole PCLU community. 💛🙌

The heated battle continued at the PCLU BED Gymnasium on November 28, 2025, for the Men 5x5 Basketball Inter Division 2025, where every dribble counted, every pass mattered, and every point was crucial. The whole gymnasium erupted with loud cheers and chants as they witnessed a fiery battle of speed, skill, willpower, and determination to advance to the provincial level.

In the 5x5 Men’s Basketball match, PCLU faced LZDS with a strong determination to advance to the Provincial level. They dashed across the court with exceptional speed, impressive teamwork, and solid defense, controlling the entire game. On the offensive end, the team took their time and executed their plays properly, allowing them to score with ease. With superior stamina and excellent coordination, they secured a spot in the Provincial round with a commanding 94–54 victory.

According to the coach, Mr. Christopher Archem Macaraeg, for him they are all star players in his heart. He was super proud of them for intending to listen to his advice and plans during training and time outs. He also added that even with strict training, they did not complain or argue about it, since they were dedicated to winning and securing that spot for Provincials. They also included prayers throughout the entire training. As a result of their preparation and guidance from God, they executed the game plan properly, not only for the designated plays of individuals but also in their teamwork and coordination as a team. The way they executed the plan during the competition was the highlight for him. He said, "Just at that moment, I already feel like a winner as a coach."

For their plan for the future in the Provincial Meet, they will take it one game at a time, with the same preparation but more intense, knowing that the opponents there will be tougher, with Mr. Archem stating, "We plan to win—we are not going to Provincials just to participate; we are going to compete for the spot to reach R1AA."

With their dedication, teamwork, and unwavering spirit, the PCLU Men’s Basketball team not only claimed victory but also proved they are ready to face tougher challenges ahead, aiming to make their mark in the Provincial Meet.

The Women’s Volleyball Inter-Division Meet opened on November 28 at the PCLU Gymnasium. The final match featured Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) and Sacred Heart School (SHS) battling for a slot in the provincial meet.
PCLU set the pace early, controlling the court with tight coverage and consistent attacks. SHS managed to extend rallies, but PCLU maintained its momentum from the opening serve.
PCLU secured a 2-0 sweep, winning the sets 25-17 and 25-2. The victory sent PCLU to the provincial meet and closed the tournament on a strong note for the home team.
