𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐘𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐍𝐈𝐂 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐀 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍 (𝐏𝐂𝐋𝐔) — The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Polytechnic College of La Union, headed by SSC President Mr. Marcelo M. Ysit Jr., held its first meeting for Academic Year 2026–2027 on September 16, 2026, together with the Department Governors and SSC Adviser, Ma’am Alicia Villafuerte. During the meeting, the council discussed upcoming SSC activities and programs, TARAY AGOEÑO: A Run For A Cause, proposed SSC projects, the distribution of official SSC uniforms, and other important matters and concerns. The meeting served as an opportunity for the SSC officers and Department Governors to coordinate plans, share ideas, and address matters concerning the student body. Through teamwork, proper coordination, and active student leadership, the SSC and Department Governors look forward to working together to implement meaningful initiatives and programs that will serve the needs and interests of the PCLU student body throughout the academic year.

BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS (BSP) MUSEUM — The BSBA students of the Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) - College of Business Administration had the opportunity to visit the BSP Museum as part of their Company Tour 2026 - Day 2. During the museum visit, the students learned about the history and evolution of Philippine money, from the early forms of exchange and coins to the different currencies used throughout the country’s history. The students also gained a better understanding of how money has changed over time and its importance in the country’s history, culture, and economy. The visit gave the students a meaningful opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and appreciate the role of currency in the development of the Philippines. The activity was headed by Dr. Elisa D. Arpilleda, BSBA Dean, together with Mr. Christian L. Campos, College Instructor, who guided and accompanied the students throughout the visit. The visit served as a meaningful learning experience for the students as future business professionals.

GARDENIA BAKERIES PHILIPPINES, INC. — The BSBA students of the Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) - College of Business Administration had the opportunity to visit Gardenia Bakeries Philippines, Inc. as part of their Company Tour 2026 - Day 2. During the plant tour, the students learned about Gardenia’s history, how the company started, how it continues to grow, and how it became one of the leading names in the baking industry. The students also learned about the importance of nutrition, proper sanitation, and modern technology in producing safe and quality bread. They were also introduced to Gardenia’s automated manufacturing process, known for its approach of “baking breads untouched by human hands,” which helps maintain cleanliness while allowing the company to produce thousands of breads every day. The activity was headed by Dr. Elisa D. Arpilleda, BSBA Dean, together with Mr. Christian L. Campos, College Instructor, who guided and accompanied the students throughout the visit. SARAO MOTORS, INC. — The BSBA students of the Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) - College of Business Administration had the opportunity to visit Sarao Motors, Inc. as part of their Company Tour 2026 - Day 1. During the company tour, the students learned about Sarao Motors’ history in jeepney manufacturing and how the iconic Filipino jeepney has evolved through the years. The students also gained insights into the evolution of jeepney art, from hand-painted designs to sticker and airbrush art, showing how creativity has become an important part of the jeepney’s identity. The activity was headed by Dr. Elisa D. Arpilleda, BSBA Dean, together with Mr. Christian L. Campos, College Instructor, who guided and accompanied the students throughout the visit. The visit served as a meaningful experience for the students as future business professionals.

PHILIPPINE TRADE TRAINING CENTER-GMEA — The BSBA students of the Polytechnic College of La Union (PCLU) - College of Business Administration had the opportunity to visit the Philippine Trade Training Center - Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA). During the agency tour, the students learned about PTTC-GMEA’s core mandate as DTI’s primary training arm, getting an inside look at its specialized capability-building workshops, MSME advisory services, and flagship trade programs designed to foster global competitiveness. The activity was headed by Dr. Elisa D. Arpilleda, BSBA Dean, together with Mr. Christian L. Campos, College Instructor, who guided and accompanied the students throughout the visit. The visit served as a meaningful experience for the students as future business professionals.
