Mahabang Gulod Elementary School proudly joins the Philippine Commission on Women and the entire nation in celebrating the 2026 National Women’s Month under the 2023–2028 theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.”

With this year’s inspiring sub-theme, “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, we recognize that women’s leadership has long been an essential part of Filipino heritage. In pre-colonial times, the Babaylans—respected spiritual leaders who were primarily women—guided their communities with wisdom, strength, and compassion. Today, Filipino women continue to embody this same spirit as leaders, educators, mentors, and changemakers who shape our society for the better.
