Trivia: How does one LED save so much energy?

🧐The magic lies in how light is produced. Traditional incandescent bulbs work by heating a tiny wire filament until it glows white-hot. This process is very inefficient, as a staggering 90% of the energy consumed is wasted as heat, with only 10% actually being converted into light. LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes), on the other hand, use a semi-conductor to create light. When electricity flows through it, the semi-conductor emits photons (light particles) in a process called electroluminescence. 🌱🍃

This is far more efficient, meaning LEDs use considerably less energy to produce the same amount of brightness (measured in lumens). In fact, quality LEDs can use up to 80% less energy and last 25 times longer than incandescent lighting. This efficiency means less electricity demand, which translates to fewer emissions from power plants and a significant reduction in your electricity bills!🤩🤩

TIPS 💡:

Maximize the "Tree of Life" by using the meat and water for food, the shells for bowls or charcoal, and the husks for garden mulch. Repurpose the leaves into brooms or mats and compost any leftovers to return potassium to the soil, ensuring every part serves a purpose with zero waste.

Another tip?
If you can't use a specific part of a coconut part, compost it ! Coconuts are rich in potassium; as they break down, they return vital nutrients to the soil for your other plants.
