Fresh Start for SY 2026–2027!
The opening of classes at Bangan Oda National High School became more meaningful as learners and teachers warmly welcomed the new school year during the first Flag Raising Ceremony, graced by Dr. Winton P. Sagun, Education Program Supervisor in English.
In his short message, Dr. Sagun emphasized that the first week of classes serves as the Opening Block, a crucial period dedicated to administering baseline assessments, including the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI). He highlighted the importance of these assessments in determining learners’ current proficiency levels and guiding teachers in providing appropriate interventions to support every learner’s academic growth throughout the year.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ricardo R. Amadar, School Head, warmly welcomed the learners as they set off to another academic journey. Mrs. Irma M. Prado also introduced the teaching and non-teaching personnel of BONHS who will guide, inspire, and support the learners throughout the school year.
Adding to the excitement of the day, early-arriving learners and teachers received school supplies, making the first day of SY 2026–2027 even more meaningful. The simple gesture brought smiles and encouragement, setting a positive tone for a school year filled with learning, growth, and success.

Day 5/5 of the Brigada Eskwela 2026
What a heartwarming way to conclude the five-day Brigada Eskwela!
Though the rain poured throughout the day, the warmth of generosity and community spirit shone even brighter. A delightful pica-pica treat, generously sponsored by Former Municipal Councilor and BONHS Alumni President Richard N. Raquel, brought smiles to everyone and made the rainy day even more special. Paired with a cup of coffee, good conversations, and shared laughter, it was the perfect way to celebrate a week of hard work, dedication, and bayanihan.
The activity concluded with a simple closing program and the awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to our valued partners, volunteers, and donors who generously shared their time, effort, resources, cash, in-kind support, and various contributions to make Brigada Eskwela 2026 a success.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support and generosity. Your kindness has helped prepare a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming learning environment for our learners.
