SFESA Holds Meaningful Year-End Party Celebrating Learners, Teachers, and Community Support
San Francisco Elementary School Annex successfully held its Year-End Party on December 17, 2025, marked by a simple yet meaningful general program that celebrated the achievements, dedication, and strong partnership of the school community.
The program highlighted the recognition of deserving learners for their outstanding performance during the Second Quarter, acknowledging both academic excellence and active participation in various academic and extracurricular competitions. Learners who earned placements in the activities they represented were awarded cash prizes, serving as motivation and appreciation for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
In addition to honoring the learners, the school also recognized the exemplary efforts of its teachers. Mrs. Flor Angel C. Evangelista was awarded First Place – Cleanest Zone and Second Place – Best Reading Corner for her consistent efforts in maintaining a clean and learner-friendly classroom environment. Meanwhile, Mrs. Merigine G. Prieto earned First Place – Best Reading Corner and First Place – Best in Classroom Ready, reflecting her dedication to creating a well-prepared and literacy-rich learning space.
The program also highlighted the school’s gratitude to its valued partners. Tokens of appreciation were given to the SPTA officials in recognition of their unwavering support and active involvement in school programs and initiatives, which significantly contribute to the holistic development of the learners.
Adding excitement and joy to the celebration were the fun-filled games participated in by learners and parents alike. Several prizes for the games were generously sponsored by Marlino D.T. Orpiano, further strengthening the spirit of community collaboration and support.
After the general program, each grade level conducted their own mini celebrations, filled with engaging games, gift exchanges, and shared meals. These activities fostered camaraderie, joy, and a sense of belonging among learners, teachers, and parents.

SFESA Learners Shine in Sining Pandayan Arts and Crafts Workshop
San Francisco Elementary School Annex came alive with colors, creativity, and cheers as it successfully held the Sining Pandayan Arts and Crafts Workshop on December 5, 2025, in partnership with Pandayan Maddela Branch. Despite the rainy weather, the dedicated Pandayan team pushed through with unwavering effort, ensuring that learners enjoyed a meaningful and memorable artistic experience.
The event featured a series of fun-filled parlor games that energized the crowd, including the exciting Balloon Relay and the classic The Boat Is Sinking, which brought out teamwork, laughter, and sportsmanship among the learners. The lively activities set the tone for a day of imagination and hands-on creativity.
One of the highlights of the program was the set of arts and crafts workshops that allowed learners to express their artistic skills. Participants joyfully created pizza designs using colorful clays, showcasing their attention to detail and playful creativity. Another engaging activity was mask painting, where students painted their own mask designs, each uniquely reflecting their personalities and imagination.
Adding to the excitement was a surprise appearance of a mascot, which delighted the learners and made the celebration even more memorable.
The event was graced by the presence of the Public Schools District Supervisor, Ma'am Delia D. Aquino, whose continued support for such enrichment activities greatly motivates both teachers and learners.

SFESA Conducts Two-Day INSET to Enhance Teacher Performance, Digital Skills, and Professional Growth
San Francisco Elementary School Annex (SFESA) successfully held its School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) on November 24–25, 2025, gathering all faculty members for two days of in-depth learning aimed at strengthening teacher competence, enriching classroom practices, and supporting professional growth.
The training was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Delia D. Aquino, Public Schools District Supervisor, who delivered a meaningful and inspiring message during the opening program.
In her keynote message, Mrs. Aquino emphasized the vital role of INSET in upskilling teachers, updating them with the latest tools and systems, and reinforcing their capacity to deliver quality education. She highlighted that continuous professional development enables teachers to address evolving classroom needs, adapt to educational reforms, and improve learner outcomes.
The first day of the training featured several key topics essential to performance improvement. Mrs. Annabelle T. Mantile, Teacher In-Charge of SFESA, initiated the sessions with an in-depth discussion on the Performance Management and Education System (PMES). She explained how PMES serves as a guide in setting professional targets, monitoring performance, and aligning teachers’ accomplishments with the standards of the Department of Education.
Following this, Mrs. Flor Angel C. Evangelista presenting the Electronic Self-Assessment Tool (e-SAT). She emphasized how the e-SAT helps teachers assess their competencies, identify strengths, and determine areas for development. She also highlighted the tool’s role in crafting a meaningful and relevant Individual Performance Development Plan (IPDP).
The first day concluded with Mrs. Merigine G. Prieto facilitated a focused discussion on the PMES Tools, particularly the indicators used during Classroom Observation. Teachers reviewed and unpacked each of the objectives, allowing them to clearly understand what is being observed, how performance is measured, and how these indicators help in improving instructional delivery. Mrs. Prieto ensured that teachers were able to thoroughly analyze and clarify each objective, strengthening their readiness for classroom evaluations.
The second day of the INSET focused on practical application. Teachers engaged in a hands-on workshop where they completed their e-SAT and formulated their IPDPs, closely guided by Mrs. Evangelista and Mrs. Mantile. This activity ensured that teachers could apply the concepts discussed and create development plans aligned with their professional needs.
Another key session on Day 2 was led by Mr. Jerry M. Matterig. He introduced various ICT applications that can enhance lesson delivery and make classroom processes more efficient. He also demonstrated apps that simplify the checking and analysis of diagnostic tests, giving teachers practical tools to incorporate technology into their teaching workflow.
The INSET concluded with a sharing of best practices, where teachers presented effective strategies and classroom techniques they personally use. This collegial exchange promoted collaboration and encouraged the adoption of innovative approaches across grade levels.
With new learnings, enhanced skills, and renewed motivation, SFESA teachers echoed their appreciation for the valuable sessions provided during the two-day training. The INSET served not only as a platform for professional development but also as a reminder of the important role educators play in ensuring quality and transformative learning for all learners.

Zab Calyx Nejar Secures 2nd Place in DSPC, Advances to Regional Level
Showcasing exceptional skill and determination, Zab Calyx A. Nejar of San Francisco Elementary School Annex emerged victorious in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held on November 19–21, 2025, after clinching 2nd Place in Copy Editing and Headline Writing (English Category). Coached by Mrs. Merigine G. Prieto, Nejar’s outstanding performance earned him a well-deserved spot in the upcoming Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC).
Nejar’s achievement is a reflection of his perseverance and commitment to campus journalism, spending countless hours reviewing grammar rules, mastering journalistic conventions, and sharpening his editing skills. His parents, who have been his constant source of encouragement, expressed pride in his dedication and passion for writing.
School Head Mrs. Annabelle T. Mantile also extended her congratulations, highlighting how Nejar’s success brings honor to the entire school community. She emphasized that the victory is not only a personal triumph but also a testament to the school’s continued support for young journalists.
“We are extremely proud of Zab Calyx. His determination is admirable, and his success inspires all our learners to pursue excellence,” Mrs. Mantile said.
Alongside Nejar were other SFESA journalists who also gave their utmost effort in their respective events. Although they did not advance to the regional level, their participation demonstrated courage, sportsmanship, and dedication to the craft of campus journalism. Their hard work likewise contributed to the strong representation of the school in this year’s DSPC.
With one of their own advancing to the regional stage, the SFESA community stands united in support of Nejar as he prepares for another challenging yet promising competition. His journey continues to encourage aspiring young writers to believe in their abilities and keep striving for excellence.

SFESA Young Achievers Excel at District Festival of Talents 2025
Last November 4, 2025, SFESA proudly participated in the District Festival of Talents held at Aglipay East Central School, Progreso, Aglipay, Quirino, where talented learners showcased their skills and creativity. Despite the short span of practice, SFESA participants proved that perseverance and teamwork can lead to success.
Among the shining stars of the event, Machara Jeanneane G. Prieto made the school proud as she won 2nd place in Read-a-Thon (Filipino) Grade 3 LikhaKwento Category, while Michael Gaarah Jay B. Felipe bagged 3rd place in Read-a-Thon (English) Grade 3 Story Retelling, both guided by their supportive coach Merigine G. Prieto.
In the Electrical Installation and Maintenance category, Jerick Bautista proudly won 3rd Place under the mentorship of Coach Jerry M. Matterig, who also trained Leigh Audrich B. Melchor, the school's representative for Invitation Card Making. Meanwhile, Angela Gagarin and Alexis Charm Biano excelled in Food Preparation, earning 1st place under the coaching of Leila Cauinian and Lyka Mae D. Rafael.
Even those who did not bag awards showed great determination and school spirit. Their efforts and willingness to learn truly embodied the value of sportsmanship and perseverance.
The success of the SFESA learners would not have been possible without the unending guidance of their coaches, the supportive parents, and the dedication of the Teacher In Charge, Mrs. Annabelle T. Mantile, who continually inspired learners to do their best.
Indeed, the SFESA family once again proved that with perseverance, teamwork and passion for learning, every challenge can turn into a victory. The District Festival of Talents became not only a competition but also a celebration of dedication and excellence among the young learners of SFESA.

SFESA Shines in District Schools Press Conference 2025
San Francisco Elementary School Annex (SFESA) proudly celebrated another milestone of excellence as its talented campus journalists showcased their skills during the District Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held last November 7, 2025, at Aglipay East Central School.
Among the outstanding young writers, Zab Calyx A. Nejar emerged victorious, claiming 1st Place in Copyreading and Headline Writing (English Category), while Machara Jeanneane G. Prieto secured 3rd Place in the same category. Both were skillfully coached by Mrs. Merigine G. Prieto. Demonstrating mastery in the Filipino language, Leigh Audrich B. Melchor earned 2nd Place in News Writing (Filipino Category) under the guidance of Mrs. Annabel P. Tum-map. Meanwhile, Ayesha Kyle M. Soriano achieved 3rd Place in Science and Technology Writing (Filipino Category) coached by Mr. Richard Evangelista, bringing further pride to the school.
While not all contestants brought home awards, each SFESA representative showed perseverance, dedication, and sportsmanship, proving that true success lies not only in winning but in striving for excellence. Their commitment to honing their journalistic skills reflects the school’s continuous pursuit of quality education and holistic learning.
The event also highlighted the unwavering support of the parents who encouraged their children throughout the preparation and competition, as well as the guidance and motivation of Teacher In-Charge Mrs. Annabelle T. Mantile, whose leadership continues to inspire both learners and mentors alike.

As part of the yearly school activities, SFESA celebrates the Nutrition Month with the theme "Sa PPAN, Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat", as this Nutrition Month 2025 campaigns for a collective effort, so as to achieve aduquate nutrition and raise awareness about the PPAN (Philippine Plan of Action) that encourages everyone to participate to have a healthier nation.
It was led by Mrs. Annabelle T. Mantile, Master Teacher I Teacher In-Charge together with the help of non-teaching and teaching staff.
The celebration was joined by the pupils from Kindergarten - Grade 6 pupils. The presentation for grade levels were as follows:

This event does not only focus on the celebration of Nutrition Month but also showcases their knowledge and skills.
The event became more exciting as the newly elected SPTA officers for school year 2025-2026 took their oath during the said program.
The unwavering support of these officials and parents was one of the highlights as the event ended successfully.
