Lenten Season is a period of fasting, prayer, and repentance observed by many in worldwide in preparation for Easter, the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, which usually falls in February or March, and ends on Holy Thursday, which is the day before Good Friday.
During Lent, We typically give up certain luxuries or habits as a form of sacrifice and penance, reflecting on our own mortality and sinfulness, and seeking spiritual renewal. This is often accompanied by increased prayer, Scripture reading, and acts of charity or service to others.
Lenten observances also include abstaining from meat on Fridays and participating in the Stations of the Cross, which is a devotional practice that reflects on the events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion.
Overall, the Lenten Season is an important time for many of us to deepen our faith and grow closer to God through self-examination, repentance, and spiritual disciplines.
