Buong puso at siglang nakikiisa ang Diodol Elementary School Annex sa pagdiriwang ng World Teachers Day! Sa Isang simpleng programa, pinangunahan ng mga SELG officers ang pagdiriwang upang maipaabot sa kanilang mga g**o ang kanilang pasasalamat at pagmamahal. Sinimulan ang programa sa pag-awit ng "Lupang Hinirang" sa pagkumpas ni Jonalyn D. Barba, nasa ikaanim na baitang at SELG Secretary, na sinundan ng panalangin ni Isabel D. Udan, nasa ikalimang baitang at SELG Auditor. Malugod namang tinanggap ang lahat ni Noriel L. Pio, nasa ikalimang baitang at SELG Vice President. Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-pugay ni Jhamina Balajo , nasa ikaanim na baitang at SELG President ang walang sawang pagsisikap at sakripisyo ng mga g**o. Sa kabila ng pagiging isang last mile school, nananatili ang kanilang dedikasyon at pagmamahal sa pagtuturo—hindi lamang upang magbahagi ng kaalaman, kundi upang makapag-iwan ng magandang marka sa buhay ng bawat mag-aaral. Binigyang-diin naman ni Sir Judirick Gaoiran Evangelista, Pinuno ng paaralan na ang tunay na kahulugan ng pagdiriwang ng Teachers’ Day ayon sa kanya ay ang pagbibigay pasasalamat, respeto at pagmamahal sa mga g**o hindi lang tuwing Teachers Day kundi sa araw-araw. Dagdag pa niya na ang "Pagtuturo" ay ina ng lahat ng propesyon, sapagkat sa gabay ng mga g**o ay nahuhubog ang mga magiging pulis, nars, inhinyero, at iba pang propesyonal. Kasabay nito, tiniyak niya ang kanyang buong suporta kasama ng mga faculty at staff ng DESA upang patuloy na maibigay ang dekalidad na edukasyon sa mga mag-aaral.

Mas naging masaya ang pagdiriwang sa mga larong inihanda ng SELG officers. Kitang-kita sa mga ngiti at tawanan ng mga g**o ang saya at pagkakaisa sa bawat laro. Hindi rin nagpahuli ang mga mag-aaral mula sa Kindergarten hanggang Grade 6 na naghanda ng mga presentasyon bilang munting handog. Nagbigay ng tula ang Kindergarten, Grades 1 at 2; ipinamalas naman ng Grades 3 at 4 ang kanilang masigla at magandang sayaw; at naghandog ng awitin ang Grades 5 at 6, na sinabayan pa ng ukulele, na tunay na nagpaalala na ang mga g**o ay mga bayani sa buhay ng kanilang mga mag-aaral. Sa huli, nagkaisa ang buong mag-aaral ng DESA sa pag-awit ng “Salamat,” habang inihahandog ang kanilang mga cards at bulaklak. Sa kabila ng pagiging simple ng programa, naging kumpleto ang araw ng ating mga g**o—punô ng saya, pagmamahal at pasasalamat. Isang paalala na ang bawat sakripisyo ng g**o ay nakikita, nararamdaman at pinahahalagahan. Maraming salamat, mga g**o ng DESA, sa patuloy na pagtuturo, paggabay at paghubog ng kinabukasan.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat ng Diodol Elementary School Annex sa ating mga supportive at masisipag na magulang, sa pangunguna ng ating SPTA President, Jessie T. Bulintao, sa sama-samang pagkilos para sa paglilinis ng ating school zones at pagririp-rap. Sa simpleng pagtutulungan, napananatili nating malinis ang ating paaralan at higit sa lahat, nakalilikha tayo ng mas ligtas, maayos, at komportableng lugar para sa pagkatuto ng ating mga mag-aaral. Maraming salamat po sa inyong oras, malasakit, at patuloy na suporta sa ating paaralan!

SAFETY STARTS WITH AWARENESS!

A meaningful visit filled with purpose and service as personnel from the Aglipay Police Station arrived at Diodol Elementary School Annex to install the human-size PNP Emergency Hotline 911 Anti-Bullying Information Standee. Despite our school being situated in a far-flung mountainous community and known as a last-mile school, they gladly made the journey to reach our learners and bring an important message closer to the community. They were warmly welcomed by our School Head, Sir Judirick Gaoiran Evangelista together with the teachers and learners.

During the visit, the PNP personnel shared practical ways of spreading awareness about anti-bullying and learner protection among children, parents, teachers, and the entire community. The newly installed standee will serve as a daily reminder that everyone has a role in keeping our school safe, respectful, and free from bullying. Its presence may be simple, but the message behind it is powerful: SPEAK UP, STAND UP, and never be afraid to REPORT BULLYING or acts that threaten the safety and well-being of others.

More than the installation, our learners were given the opportunity to meet and talk personally with our police personnel. Their stories and encouragement inspired our children, especially those who dream of becoming police officers someday. They were also reminded to choose good friends, stay away from bullying, and make wise decisions by avoiding harmful vices such as drugs, alcohol, and ci******es. The visit became a valuable lesson that discipline, courage, and good character can shape a better future.

At Diodol ES Annex, we believe that protecting our learners is a shared responsibility. With the partnership of our dedicated PNP personnel, supportive parents, committed teachers, and the whole community, we continue building a school where every child feels safe, valued, and respected.

Diodol Elementary School Annex proudly joined the District Level Science and Technology Fair with the theme: "Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan, carrying with us the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and innovation. Representing our school in the Poster Making category was our Grade 5 learner, Rhovie Cate D. Guinid. With courage and determination, she put her ideas on paper and gave her very best throughout the competition. It was a moment that showed how young minds can speak through art and science.

Though Rhovie Cate did not qualify for the next level, her performance was more than a result on the scoreboard. She remained composed, accepted the outcome with grace, and showed true sportsmanship and determination. Her experience is another step in her growth as a young learner and artist. We are proud of you, Rhovie Cate! Keep learning, keep creating, and come back stronger next year.

Sa isang paaralang yakap ang kultura at pagkakakilanlan, naging makahulugan at masaya ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika at Indigenous Peoples Day!

Sinimulan ang programa sa isang taimtim na panalangin na pinangunahan ni Ma’am Leonalyn Sui-yang Belmonte Melegrito , na sinundan ng pag-awit ng Pambansang Awit sa pangunguna ni Ma’am Annaliza A. Romero . Nagbigay naman si Ma’am Cecil Ynabion ng pambungad na pananalita, bago ibinahagi ng ating Pinuno ng paaralan na si Sir Judirick Gaoiran Evangelista ang mahalagang mensahe tungkol sa pinagmulan, kasaysayan, at patuloy na kahalagahan ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika at Indigenous Peoples Day sa kasalukuyang panahon.

Isa sa pinaka-inaabangang bahagi ng programa ang Parada ng mga Kasuotang Pilipino, kung saan buong pagmamalaking ipinakita ng ating mga mag-aaral ang iba’t ibang anyo ng ating kultura. May mga nakasuot ng tradisyonal na Filipiniana, habang ang ilan ay buong dangal na nagsuot ng tradisyonal na kasuotan ng mga Ifugao. Sa bawat kasuotan ay tila muling nabuhay ang kuwento ng ating mga ninuno. Higit pa sa isang parada, naging pagpapakita ito na ang kultura ay hindi lamang bagay na dapat alalahanin; ito ay bahagi ng ating pagkatao na dapat ipagmalaki, ingatan, at ipasa sa susunod na salinlahi.

Nagbigay rin ng kulay at buhay ang mga pagtatanghal ng bawat baitang. Ipinamalas ng ating mga mag-aaral ang kanilang talento sa pamamagitan ng mga tradisyonal na awitin, sayaw, at tula, na may kasamang sipag at pagmamalaki sa kanilang pinagmulan. Naging espesyal din ang paggawad ng mga sash sa mga mag-aaral na nagwagi sa iba’t ibang patimpalak, isang munting pagkilala sa kanilang pagsisikap at husay. Hindi lamang sila nag-uwi ng parangal, kundi maging ng mas malalim na pag-unawa na ang kanilang talento ay maaari ring maging daan upang mapanatiling buhay ang ating wika at kultura.

Hindi rin nagpahuli ang saya sa mga inihandang gawain tulad ng slogan making, poster making, at group quiz bowl. Naging masigla ang paligsahan, ngunit higit sa pagkapanalo ay ang pagkakataong natuto, nagtulungan, at nagbahagi ng kaalaman ang mga mag-aaral. Lalo pang naging masaya ang programa nang pangunahan mismo ng ating School Head, Sir Judirick G. Evangelista, ang isang masayang laro kung saan lilinya at pili ang ating mga learners kung saan ang Hanay ng Ingles at Filipino. Sa simpleng laro, napalakas ang kanilang kumpiyansa, napalawak ang kanilang paggamit ng wika, at higit sa lahat, napuno ng tawanan at saya ang buong pagtitipon.

Sa pagtatapos ng pagdiriwang, isang bagay ang higit na namayani—ang pagmamahal sa ating pagkakakilanlan. Bilang isang Indigenous Peoples school, mahalagang maunawaan ng ating mga mag-aaral na ang kanilang wika, kasuotan, awitin, sayaw, panitikan, at mga kaugaliang minana sa kanilang mga ninuno ay mga kayamanang hindi dapat ikahiya o kalimutan. Sa halip, dapat itong ipagmalaki at patuloy na buhayin. Sapagkat ang tunay na diwa ng Buwan ng Wika at Indigenous Peoples Day ay hindi lamang pagdiriwang ng isang araw o isang buwan—ito ay pagyakap sa kung sino tayo, paggalang sa ating pinagmulan, at paninindigan na ang kulturang ating minana ay pananagutan nating ingatan at ipagmalaki.

The District Schools Press Conference became a new playing field for our two young artists, Rhovie Cate D. Guinid, Grade 5, and Sarah D. Tultog, Grade 6, as they represented our school in Editorial Cartooning with their coach Mr. Ethelson Basa. It was their first time stepping into the competition, and the nervousness was written on their faces. But once the clock started ticking and the blank paper was in front of them, they picked up their pencils, trusted their ideas, and began to turn thoughts into lines, symbols, and meaningful illustrations.

Editorial cartooning is more than drawing. It is about having a sharp eye, a clear message, and the courage to make every stroke speak. Both Rhovie Cate and Sarah showed composure as they worked through the pressure. They found their rhythm, gained momentum, and gave their best until the final stroke. Most importantly, both finished their cartoons within the allotted time—a victory in itself for young artists who were facing the challenge for the very first time.

The results brought another proud moment to our school. Sarah D. Tultog clinched 5th Place, earning her a spot in the Division Schools Press Conference on September 2–4. Congratulations, Sarah! Your hard work, creativity, and determination have earned you another bigger stage. And to Rhovie Cate, although you did not make the cut this time, you are still a winner in our eyes. You faced your first competition with courage, finished your work, and proved that every experience is another lesson that sharpens the pencil and strengthens the artist.

Today, we celebrate not only the ranking but the courage to compete, the discipline to finish, and the determination to keep improving. In editorial cartooning, a single line can tell a story—and your journey has already drawn one worth remembering. Sarah, carry your winning stroke to the Division Schools Press Conference. Rhovie Cate, keep sketching, keep practicing, and come back next year with a stronger hand and a bolder voice. The paper may have a final score, but for us, your courage is already a masterpiece.

What an unbelievable performance from our two gymnasts, Jonalyn D. Barba and Rhovie Cate D. Guinid, at the Municipal Meet! Their countless hours of practice, discipline, and determination paid off as Jonalyn captured the Champion title while Rhovie Cate secured 1st Runner-Up in Gymnastics. Behind their impressive performance is their supportive and caring coach, Ma’am Leonalyn Sui-yang Belmonte Melegrito whose guidance and encouragement helped our athletes bring out their best.

Their success is more than just medals and titles. Jonalyn and Rhovie Cate have proven that learners from Diodol Elementary School Annex can compete, excel, and rise above expectations. After their strong showing in the District Meet, they came back even stronger at the Municipal Meet and surpassed their previous performance. Their achievement is a proud reminder that talent becomes greater when matched with hard work, discipline, and the courage to believe in oneself.

The journey continues as our two gymnasts prepare for the Provincial Meet on September 7–9. We are excited to see them once again perform with confidence, grace, and determination. Jonalyn and Rhovie Cate, the whole Diodol ES Annex family stands behind you! Keep practicing, stay disciplined, enjoy every routine, and give it your all. 10 ATHLETES, ONE TEAM, ONE FIGHTING SPIRIT!

Ten determined athletes proudly carried the name of our school as they competed in the Aglipay West Sports District Meet 2026. Before heading into the competition, our School Head, Sir Judirick G. Evangelista, gave them a brief orientation, along with words of inspiration and motivation. He reminded them to give their best, enjoy every moment, and play with courage and confidence. Our athletes stepped onto the field and competition areas ready to fight in Athletics, Shot Put, Gymnastics, and Chess with the guidance of their coaches, Ma'am Cecilia Inabiohan, Annaliza A. Romero, Leonalyn Sui-yang Belmonte Melegrito and Sir Ethelson Basa.

Their hard work paid off as three of our ten athletes earned spots in the Municipal Meet! Congratulations to Rhovie Cate D. Guinid (Grade 5) and Jonalyn D. Barba (Grade 6) for Gymnastics, and Jhamina D. Balajo (Grade 6) for Chess. For those who did not advance this time, the journey does not end here. They played their hearts out, enjoyed the experience, and learned valuable lessons from every match. The next challenge is already waiting—and with more practice, determination, and discipline, they will come back stronger next year.

Coming from a last-mile school with Indigenous Peoples learners, our athletes proved that champions are not defined by the size of their school, the distance they travel, or the challenges they face. They showed courage, sportsmanship, and the heart to compete. Whether they brought home medals or simply gained unforgettable experiences, they are champions in their own way. Their journey reminds us of what we live by: “Dedication and Excellence Shape Achievement.”
