Exactly one week ago, the Bernardo V. Closa Central School (BVCCS) community celebrated the outstanding achievements of two of our young taekwondo jins at the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet 2026 held in Baybay City, Leyte.

We proudly congratulate Frances Therese C. Dosdos and Frances Sophia C. Dosdos for their remarkable performances in Taekwondo Poomsae, proudly representing the Leyte Division.

🥈 Frances Therese C. Dosdos
earned the Silver Medal in the Elementary Taekwondo Poomsae Individual Category, impressing the judges with her precision, balance, and graceful ex*****on of forms. Her disciplined performance highlighted her mastery of technique and strong focus on the mat.

🥈 Frances Sophia C. Dosdos
captured the Silver Medal in the Elementary Taekwondo Poomsae Mixed-Pair Category, demonstrating excellent coordination, timing, and synchronization with her partner, delivering a confident and composed performance.

The competitions were held on March 2, 2026, with the awarding ceremony conducted on March 3, 2026 at the Binaybayon Convention Center, Baybay City, Leyte.

Frances Therese and Frances Sophia are proud learners of Bernardo V. Closa Central School, Junior Black Belts, and active members of Francis Taekwondo.

They were guided and supported by their coach, Ma’am Mary Joy Cernias Bohol Bague, who accompanied them throughout the EVRAA Concentration Training at Kananga National High School (February 9–25, 2026) and during the EVRAA Meet Week in Baybay City (February 26–March 6, 2026).

Together with fellow Abuyog taekwondo jin Xavier KevinJohn Thaddeus Ngo, they secured top placements in the Poomsae category, bringing pride and honor to BVCCS, the Municipality of Abuyog, and the Leyte Division.

Closa Central School proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of our Taekwondo Poomsae athletes, whose dedication, discipline, and excellence brought honor to our school during the Provincial Meet. Our elementary girls, under the guidance of Coach Mary Joy Cernias Bohol Bague, delivered outstanding performances that showcased exceptional skill and sportsmanship.
