Early childhood training conducted at Tarawai Island was successful. Participants have expressed that ,through this training,they realised the importance of early childhood education and parental care and support in their development process.They have predge their support and commitment in embracing the program in their community.
Among all the factors that influence the success of preschool programs, none is more important than the quality of the teaching workforce. The design and delivery of effective approaches to professional development (PD) are central to the support of the early childhood education workforce. In this article, we provide a model outlining the PD features that help to ensure that PD is effective, as well as the program- and policy-level supports needed to implement this type of PD as a part of local, state, and federal preschool programs. Throughout the article, we summarize recent research that is refining our understanding of the characteristics of effective PD, and we draw from research as well as our own experience in working with Head Start and state preschool programs across the country to illuminate challenges and promising practices in implementing effective PD at scale.

We have started rolling out ECCE teacher training in Wewak Islands. So far ECCE teacher training in Tarawai and Kairiru Islands have been covered.
East Sepik Province, for us to be better better of in education ECCE teacher training for teachers is the way firward.

NGO'S have done tremendous community
Projects in reaching out to needy areas of our community.Likewise ECCE is a educational initiative supported by the government which will soon take effect in our education system.It is a individual family and community to take ownership and to embrace it for it's sustainability.I strongly urged every individual parents and community to start establishing Earlychildhood centers for our children age groups 4-6 .Its like a nursery where quality education is identified.Through early education our country will provide more qualified skilled work force in the future.
