Our mission at Yer Education Foundation is educational opportunities for PNG students, regardless of their socioeconomic background. We believe that education is a fundamental human right and a key driver of individual and societal progress. Given the chronic lack of post high school educational accessibilities and opportunities in PNG, YEF’s mission is to promote, encourage and help students access alternative educational opportunities that exist outside Papua New Guinea. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to support and empower students from underserved communities throughout PNG to reach their full potential. We work towards this by educating prospective students about the educational opportunities in the United States and assist students with their application work and other forms of academic and career support to help students succeed. In addition, we strive to improve the overall quality of education in our communities by partnering with schools and educators to develop quality international class educational institutions in Papua New Guinea to promote higher quality and standard of Education.
