A simple escape can start from a natural stance, hands up like you’re talking. 🧍‍♂️👐 If someone grabs or presses in, move off the line and clear the contact fast. Keep your posture tall, head up, and eyes on the threat. 👀

This idea shows up in traditional Shotokan kata, Heian Shodan (movement 3,4&5). Many other styles teach the same concept as Pinan Nidan. 🥋 It’s not “kata for show.” It’s a clean method to create space, break the hold, and reset your position. ✅

Train it slow first, then add realistic footwork and timing. Safety matters, work with a qualified coach and a trusted partner. 👊🤝

Some vital areas to attack in a self defense scenario. Simple self defense techniques are so much more useful than those that are choreographed for showmanship. Please understand the difference when practicing. Fancy self-defense demos you see in most movies scenes and sports are for entertainment purposes. Although it can be used however the technique application and ex*****on must be street approached or be realistic!
