Get to know our Alumni Spotlight honoree!

Justin McCorvey serves as the Director of Global Government Relations for the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation and is a native of Birmingham, AL. Justin graduated in 2013 with a degree in Public Administration and later went on to attend the University of Iowa College of Law for his JD. He is a proud initiate of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

His love for HBCUs started as a child as a 3rd generation Rattler. Justin remembers his youth as a baby rattler attending his first FAMU Homecoming at 3 years old. He knew from a young age that leadership and recruitment were essential to FAMU's legacy.

“My love for FAMU came from the matriarchs of my family. My aunt, great aunts, and grandmother all attended FAMU. As women of grace, elegance, and ambition, these courageous women forged the way for me at FAMU. They were classmates with President Humphries and assisted in many recruiting efforts--including me and my cousins. FAMU is a family investment and we are committed!"

Justin is committed to servant leadership and currently resides in Washington, DC.
