Calling all BRISBANE VOLUNTEERS! 💁📖🙋
Books 4 PNG Kids is holding a special
📚📖PACKING DAY on
Saturday, May 9 (8.30am-2pm) at
Books 4 PNG Kids factory at 39 Flanders St, Salisbury
and we’d love your help - even for a couple of hours.🙋📖🏝
Come along and bring your friends, family or sports team mates. 🙋♀️🙋♂️
Just wear enclosed shoes as we pack and label boxes of books bound for PNG schools. 🙇♀️🙋♂️👩🏫
As a volunteer for Books 4 PNG Kids, you can help change the lives of children in PNG.📖👏
Books donated by Books 4 PNG Kids to PNG schools provide a foundation for literacy and lifelong learning and encourage children and their families to continue their education.
Delivering books to often remote schools throughout PNG is not easy, with few roads and often daunting mountains, rivers and oceans to cross, but those bearing books to fill bare library shelves are met with joy when they arrive.
Just look at the difference 10,000+ books donated by Books 4 PNG Kids have made to dozens of schools across the island of New Britain in these deliveries by Tiana Reimann of Bucket of Love Foundation PNG.
More than 15,000 students in 60+ schools have received books from Books 4 PNG Kids thanks to Tiana’s deliveries over several years.
That’s a brighter future for thousands of current and future students around the island where many villages lack books and can only be reached by boat.
The Bucket of Love Foundation also donates sporting equipments and waterproof plastic buckets fitted with lids to remote communites.
The buckets are invaluable for multiple uses including transporting goods by boat and carrying and storing water and food.
Our thanks to Tiana and supporters for delivering books to communities that would otherwise miss out.👏🏝🙋

The Rigo Futures team gathered today with our STEM Day 2025 volunteers at the National Library in Port Moresby to present their certificates of participation. These are the same amazing volunteers who showcased their experiments at Allan Jones Primary School in Hula Village last week.
Their demonstrations across different STEM fields were a real motivator for the students of Rigo.
We have received much feedback from students, teachers, as well as the volunteers.
It was a great experience all around, and we look forward to having more support to build the next one.

STEM Day in Rigo a Success 🤩
On Friday, 5 December 2025, Rigo Futures hosted our very first STEM Day at Hula village.
Jane Ravusiro (President) and Karo Henao (Vice President) opened the event, welcoming students and explained what STEM Day is about.
Selected students from Kalo, Kamali, Makerupu , Rilo (Babaka), and Allan Jones Memorial Primary Schools and Hood Point Junior High, came together at Allan Jones Primary School, Hula Village.
Students were put into groups and rotated between STEM challenge station experiments boldly asking questions, sparked by curiosity and eager to learn more.
Most inspiring was how quickly the kids connected with the activities. They were focused, brave, and genuinely interested at each display.
We’re excited for the bright young minds we observed on this day and remain keen to continue the engagement in the community 🤩
