📢 BIG NEWS: Kokopo Learning Centre Set to Become a Reality Following UPNG - ENB Partnership.

The University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) and the East New Britain Provincial Government have officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the establishment of the Kokopo Learning Centre on 9 June 2026 at the University.

The MoA was formally signed by Mr. Levi Mano, Provincial Administrator of East New Britain; Prof. Ian Findlay, Vice-Chancellor of University of Papua New Guinea; and Prof. Boe Lahui-Ako, Executive Director of the Open College at UPNG. The signing was witnessed by Mr. Peter Waninara from the Legal Unit of the East New Britain Provincial Administration.

As part of this initiative, Starlink satellite internet will be deployed at the Kokopo Learning Centre to enhance connectivity and support flexible learning opportunities for students in the province.

This partnership marks a significant step toward expanding access to quality higher education and digital learning in East New Britain.

UPNG Kokopo Students Acknowledge Hon. Ereman ToBaining Jr, MP & Kokopo DDA for Continuous School Fee Subsidy Support.

The UPNG Kokopo Students would like to sincerely express their heartfelt appreciation and acknowledgement to Kokopo MP Hon. Ereman ToBaining Jr, and the Kokopo District Development Authority (DDA) for the continuous support towards students of Kokopo District through the school fee subsidy program.

We are grateful to inform all successful applicants that the subsidy funds have been deposited into the ENBSA account and are currently under the care of the executives for processing and crediting to individual student accounts.

Your ongoing commitment to supporting education and empowering students is greatly appreciated by all Kokopo students studying at the University of Papua New Guinea.
