The LSS Closing Ceremony & Awards Presentation was hosted last Thursday evening, bringing LSS 2024 to an end.

We officially brought this truly remarkable year to a close, handing over the keys to next year's Executives and bidding farewell to our final-year students.🤝🏾

The winners of the 35th SBK Moot Court Competition were announced, along with the participating teams receiving their certificates and prizes.

We were privileged to have representatives from our supporting firms and guest speakers join us, along with our very own School of Law Executive Dean, Professor Sam Kaipu, and 2025 UPNG SRC President, Mr. Clinton Maliaba.

The LSS was pleased to extend its profound gratitude on the night to the firms and organizations that supported us this year, including; Jema Lawyers, Leahy Lewin Lowing Sullivan Lawyer, Ashurst PNG, Allens Linklaters and Westpac PNG.

We are also incredibly grateful to the many volunteers and participants who have assisted us in our many events, your valuable contributions are greatly appreciated!🤝🏾

📢‼️IMPORTANT NOTICE

The 2025 LSS Executives Elections will commence tomorrow, 25th of September at the LSS Office from 10am to 3pm.📌

Counting will begin at 3pm till late, and results will be announced at the LSS Closing Ceremony on Thursday evening.

Voting is open to ALL law students, first to final. Please bring your student ID Cards to vote.

Find attached the *updated candidate list. Every vote counts, be sure to cast yours!👏🏾

The Grand-Final of the 35th Sir Buri Kidu Moot Court Competition was hosted last Friday, September 20th.

The final two teams; Vindicta (as the petitioner) and Simul Litigators (as the respondent), took the stage for the final time to contend for this year's Moot Title. The LSS would like congratulate both teams for their commitment and effort in reaching the final round. We appreciate their participation and applaud them regardless of the outcome.👏🏾

The winner of this year's competition will be announced on Thursday, 26th September at the LSS Closing Ceremony, NLT - be sure to attend.📍

The LSS would also like to extend our most sincere gratitude to our seven (7) guest judges for their support on the night:
