I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to **Mr. Michael Goro**, Founder of 𝗛𝗬𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗧𝗩𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, for his vision and commitment to empowering young Papua New Guineans through quality technical education.

Before joining HYTARC, I saw very few opportunities ahead of me. In 2024, through the generous sponsorship of Rocksfield Engineering & Construction Limited, I enrolled at HYTARC and completed my 𝗗𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. That decision became a life-changing milestone.

After graduating,, I secured my first employment as a 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 with 𝗭𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗭𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 in Port Moresby. Today, I am proud to be part of the Zion Zeal team, where I continue to apply the skills and knowledge I gained at HYTARC.

Thank you once again, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗼, for creating opportunities that give young people a second chance to build meaningful careers. Your motto, **"𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲,"** continues to transform lives and inspire hope for many young Papua New Guineans.

More than 15 students attending Hytarc TVET College in Port Moresby were presented a laptop each after completing 75% of their total school fees at the beginning of their academic year. The presentation was made on Tuesday.

This was the second batch of presentation. The first lot received their laptops in April and have been using the machines for their studies.

Amongst the recipient was Raynold Muin, a Heavy Diesel Equipment Fitting student. He was grateful to have received his laptop and anticipates this will help him a lot in his studies.

“I am happy to receive my laptop,” Muin said “I waited for three months and now, after three months I have finally received the laptop.”

Some students raised concerns about not receiving theirs although they paid full fees. The administration acknowledged this concern and said to look into it.

Registrar of the Hytarc TVET College, Rebecca Goro, highlighted some of the institution’s achievement. She said some of their students are now employed with reputable businesses in the country and urged students to remain committed to their studies.

Registrar of the Hytarc TVET College, Rebecca Goro, said the school is committed in supporting young men and women.

“We have proudly graduated over 23000 students. Now, they are employed,” Goro said. “Some are self-employed, some are working in PNG and are working overseas.”

With the first semester almost ending, Hytarc TVET College is looking forward to register more students for second semester in the coming weeks.

The administration urged the recipients of the laptops to use the machines for studies and get the best out of it. They also noted that those who have missed out will be receiving theirs in the next presentation.
