Bitcoin is the world's first crypto currency. It has two important use cases: 1) Store of Value, 2) Method of Payment /Exchange.

Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin, USDT is pegged to the U.S. dollar, and in theory it should be unaffected by the market volatility that can so dramatically impact the valuation of other cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin. $1 USDT is $1 USD at the current price.
