A DOCUMENTARY film on domestic violence and social issues reached more than a thousand students at Laloki Secondary School in Central recently.

PNG Tribal Foundation conducted the two-day awareness programme through the Senisim Pasin screening with a total of 1,1271 students from grades nine to 12, focusing on increasing awareness of gender-based violence and sorcery accusation-related violence in the country and encouraging communities to address and eliminate these issues.

MESSAGE FROM PIONEER PRINCIPAL MR DAVID CONN

Hello Laloki students past and present.
I trust you had a good day celebrating your 43rd Birthday.

Mrs Conn and I are in Alotau and just wish we could have been in town to celebrate with you.

To all those alumni - and I hope some from 1983 were with you on August 1 - thank you for your continuing support of your old school.

I know that the spirit and knowledge you learned over 40 years ago have translated into committed lives of service to PNG. We are so proud of that.

To you present senior students you will soon be part of the LOHOS legacy - carry it with you all the days of your life and never forget your old school.

We are so proud of our role in what your school is today.

To all of you, past, present and , I hope, future, we are so proud to be part of the Laloki legacy started on 1st August 1983.

WINNERS LISTING

Hello everyone,

Sincerest apologies in getting the winners list out to you all. As this was the first time to host such an event, we had a few hiccups here and there.

However, we managed to get all winners names and ticket numbers, except two who were presented their prizes on the day.
Only a few prizes still have not been claimed by the winners - most have been given out already.

Those who paid for market spaces and brought things to sell and again lastly but not the least, every single individual who turned up at the school and paid a small gate fee of K2.

The event was very successful and there were no major security issues reported.
However, the alumni association has also learnt alot and will definitely improve to host bigger and better events in the future.
