Announcing our speakers for the 2nd Annual Creative Arts Seminar, hosted by the UPNG Creative Arts Students Association with the theme : "INNOVATION IN TRADITIONAL ART FORMS : BRIDGING THE PAST AND PRESENT"

Be captivated by insightful presentations from our presenters and participate in a panel discussion to understand the fusion of traditional and modern art with technology in the perspective of Theatre Arts, Music, and Art & Design.

“International Dance Day” to be commemorated by Institute of Papua New Guinea Studies (IPNGS) supported by National Cultural Commission (NCC) and the Papua New Guinea Government in partnership with University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) as the host venue for this event on the 29th of April, 2024 at UPNG New Lecture Theatre.

UPNG Creative Arts Students Association is honoured to be a part of this momentous occasion.

Theme : Dance and Cultural Transformation

Join us as we come together to commemorate International Dance Day. This year’s celebration is organized in collaboration with the UPNG Creative Arts Students Association, promising an unforgettable evening of captivating performances, cultural diversity, and the universal language of dance. The highlight of this event is set to feature the launch of the IPNGS' Discussion Paper, 'Christianity and the Indigenization of Taibubu Among the South Fly People of Papua New Guinea'.

The event is open to the general public, students and staff members of the institution. NO ENTRY FEES!

DAY 3 - Editorial and Mini Runway Shoot

Say hello to 6 individual designers from UPNG Creative Arts Students Association who have come on board to collaborate with us during our workshop. We have on board the following:

Each designer has given us 3 pieces of garments for us to work with. And each collaborators pieces have a distinct concept or story behind them.

We are always pleased to have on board creative minds, as these students have also made their debut in this year's PNG Fashion & Design Week Ltd show casing some of their designs.

Thank you again for agreeing to come on board, we are excited to have our models demonstrate what they have learnt during the workshop by show casing your designs.
