🎈 Centenary Celebration & Contribution
The Centenary Committee has been hard at work planning a celebration that honors our 100-year legacy while raising funds to improve our school facilities. To ensure this event is a success, the following was agreed upon:
Contribution: A levy of K100 per Parent/Guardian (Note: This is per parent, not per student).
Purpose: To fund the centenary celebrations and school facility upgrades.
Duration: Payments open February 23rd and must be completed by April 30th, 2026.

🛠️ Mandatory Work Parade: TOMORROW
To prepare our grounds, a school work parade will be held:
Date: Saturday, February 28th (Tomorrow)
Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Requirement: Please report to your child’s Class Teacher upon arrival to record your attendance.
Notice: Please be advised that penalties will apply for parents/guardians who fail to attend.

⚠️ Infrastructure & School Safety Concerns
The Board also discussed several urgent matters affecting our students' environment:

Vandalism: We are addressing recent graffiti and damage to school property. We ask for the community's help in staying vigilant.
Health & Sewage: We are formally addressing the health risks caused by sewage and drain water flowing into the schoolyard from neighboring properties. The odor and sanitation issues are a top priority.

Boundary Issues: We are reviewing damage to the school fence caused by buildings constructed too close to our perimeter.

We are looking forward to reviving our school spirit as we head toward May 23rd! Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to making our centenary year a success.

We're back!!!

Dear Parents, Students, and wonderful Followers,

You may have noticed our page has been quiet for some time—nearly a year, in fact. We want to sincerely apologize for the silence. Following a transition in our teaching staff, the responsibility for our social media communications was left vacant, and it took us some time to restructure.

We are thrilled to announce that this has been resolved! The school administration and the Board have officially reactivated this account. We have a wealth of updates regarding both current events and outstanding matters that we can't wait to share with you.

Thank you for your patience and for staying subscribed. We are excited to once again use this platform to keep our school community connected.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT.

All Grade 8 students throughout the nation will be sitting for their examination next week and Gr 8 Students of St Michaels Primary School is no exceptions.

The school is making this appeal to all stakeholders and the general public in Hanuabada, particularly the Kavari or Goralatana area and the market area to respect the school during the exam week by maintaining peace and good order in the community whilst the students sit for their final exams.

The exams will commence from Monday 21st of October, 2024 and continues to 25th of October, 2024. (1 week)

Certain areas of concern which the school needs addressing is the selling and consumption of liquor near the school areas, Bus Stop for PMV's and Venders selling items close to the school areas.

As for people living in nearby residences, the only area of concern are the children shouting/screaming when playing close to the school area. This can disturb the students during the exams.

The school respects the rights of everyone but due to this important calendar event of the school, we seek your cooperation in maintaining peace and good order in the community by upholding the rule of law.
