A great step forward for education in Mendi-Munihu.

The library has been transformed into a fully connected computer lab for teachers, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary students, with access to the internet.

This e-Library was fully funded through the support of former Mendi Open MP Michael Nali and current MP Raphael Tonpi.

It is encouraging to see leaders prioritising education, especially classrooms, learning facilities and ICT infrastructure. Investments like this give students and teachers better access to information and technology.

Education infrastructure is an investment in the future. When our schools improve, our children benefit.

Dear Team,

You may have noticed that we are still waiting to receive the *Pay 15 and Pay 16 payslips*.

We believe that the Department of Finance may currently be undergoing the handover of the *ALESCO payroll system to the Department of Personnel Management (DPM)* as part of the new control measures. There was a circular issued earlier this year regarding this change, and it appears that the process may now be taking effect, which could be the reason for the delay in releasing the payslips.

Please note that payslips are an important requirement for processing our loans, as they allow us to verify a customer's current financial position and eligibility.

Management is currently working to establish contact with the relevant personnel at DPM to obtain the necessary information and find a suitable way to continue processing loan applications during this period.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will provide further updates as soon as we receive confirmation.

Public funds are meant to improve the lives of ordinary Papua New Guineans. But when money passes through multiple levels of government, ministries, agencies, boards and project implementers, concerns arise when portions are taken or mismanaged before reaching the people.

The result can be poor infrastructure, inadequate services, unemployment and continued hardship. The question is simple: Who should be held accountable when public money fails to deliver public benefits? Government, ministers, commissioners, chairmen, officials, contractors, or all those responsible?
