DWU- Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Kabaleo Rabaul Campus Celebrates Feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
Students and staff of Divine Word University – OLSH Kabaleo Rabaul Campus gathered in faith and unity to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart with a meaningful candlelight procession recently.
The procession marked the culmination of forty days of rosary recitation and a nine-day novena organized by the Student Representative Council (SRC) and the Student Services Department. Carrying candles through the evening, students symbolized the light of faith shining brightly in their lives and community.
Addressing the gathering, Director of Student Services, Mr. Peter Mctobara, commended students for their commitment to prayer and reminded them that the rosary remains a powerful source of strength, peace, and protection. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their spiritual journey while pursuing excellence in their academic endeavors.
The celebration continues with a Eucharistic Mass and choir competition, bringing together the campus community in prayer, worship, and joyful fellowship. As we honor Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, may her example inspire us to deepen our faith, strengthen our compassion, and draw ever closer to the Heart of Jesus. The event was attended by the surrounding communities as well.
