These powerful words were shared by DWU East New Britain Alumni Chapter President, Mr Dominic Tulo, during his keynote address at the DWU 30th Anniversary Celebrations at the Rabaul Campus.
Reflecting on the lasting impact of Divine Word University, Mr Tulo highlighted how DWU has shaped lives not only through education but also through the strong bonds, lifelong friendships, and core values that unite its graduates and community.

🎉 DWU 30th Anniversary Student Displays at DWU Rabaul Campus 🎉

As part of the DWU 30th Anniversary celebrations, students showcased a variety of creative and informative displays highlighting their talents, achievements, and academic experiences.

DWU President Professor Fr Philip Gibbs, SVD, accompanied by Rabaul Campus Administrator Mr Karaho Asimi and invited guests, toured the displays and interacted with students, taking time to appreciate their hard work, innovation, and contributions to the university community.

The displays reflected the vibrant spirit of learning, creativity, and excellence that has shaped Divine Word University over the past 30 years.

Today, DWU Rabaul Campus Administrator Mr Karaho Asimi joined DWU President Professor Fr Philip Gibbs, SVD, in cutting the DWU 30th Anniversary Cake, marking this significant milestone with the university community at DWU Rabaul Campus.

The cake-cutting ceremony symbolized three decades of excellence in education, service, and the formation of leaders who continue to make a positive impact in Papua New Guinea and beyond.

As part of the DWU 30th Anniversary Celebrations, students of DWU Kabaleo Teachers College captivated the audience with an innovative and educational role play on the importance of punctuation marks in communication.

Through humour, creativity, and teamwork, the performers demonstrated how punctuation gives meaning, clarity, and expression to our words. From the humble full stop to the energetic exclamation mark, each character played a vital role in showing that even the smallest details can make a big difference.

The presentation served as a powerful reminder that education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about learning to communicate effectively and confidently. It showcased the creativity, talent, and passion for learning that continue to inspire the DWU community.

Students and staff from New Ireland Province at the DWU Rabaul Campus delighted the audience with a vibrant cultural dance performance during the DWU 30th Anniversary Celebrations held at DWU Kabaleo Teachers College.

Their energetic presentation highlighted the rich cultural heritage of New Ireland while demonstrating the spirit of unity, inclusion, and community that defines Divine Word University.

As part of the DWU 30th Anniversary Celebrations at the DWU Rabaul Campus- DWU Kabalaeo Teachers College, students from the DWU St Mary’s School of Nursing engaged in a vibrant role-play presentation, showcasing the diverse and rewarding career paths available to them after completing their studies at Divine Word University.

Through creativity, confidence, and teamwork, the students demonstrated the many opportunities that await nursing graduates, highlighting their commitment to serving communities, promoting health, and making a positive impact across Papua New Guinea and beyond.

This inspiring activity not only celebrated the achievements of our students but also reflected DWU’s mission of forming competent, compassionate, and service-oriented professionals.
