Message from DEA Namatanai

Good night Head teachers and teachers in Namatanai District. Welcome back from your holidays to the third term of the 2023 academic year. I know you all enjoyed your two weeks of holiday and now you are all ready for term 3.
Here is your DEA with a few notices:

1. This term we have 11 weeks of teaching and Learning according to the Education calendar.

2. Term 3 begins tomorrow 10th of July 2023.

3. The Governor's Essay Competition is now on. Schools in the District that are taking part in the competition make sure the children take part in the competition. You have only two weeks to work on your essays.

4. The 5 LLGs that did not do the In-service from the 3rd to the 7th of July will now do the In-service in week 5 of term 3. You have 4 weeks to prepare for the In-service.

5. All teachers are expected to be at their respective schools already. If you are still at home you must know that every thing you do at school this term will be late.

6. Head teachers to monitor resumption of teachers and students enrolment this week and provide a report to your School Inspector, Field Education Officer and a copy to the District Education Office.

7. The DEA's program for week 1, term 3:
Monday - Attend to reconciliation among children, teachers and parents at Lipek Primary School.

Tuesday - Office Administration in the morning then travel to Lihir

Wednesday - Visit schools on mainland Lihir

Thursday - Attend opening of the 6 in 1 classroom at Sekunkun Primary School.

Friday - Travel back to Namatanai and then Attend to the Handover of the body of the late Mr. Biosi Elementary teacher Huris Primary School.

8. Thank you Matalai LLG Education Officer and your TOTs for conducting the In-service to the Matalai Teachers on time and for being the first LLG and cluster in the District to be in service on Jolly Phonics, SBC planning and programming, CCVE and QUIZ for Maths and Science.
The implementation of what has been learnt starts tomorrow.
