Message duly noted. Thank you for sharing the latest update regarding the accident involving our ACS Mothers in Port Moresby. On behalf of the entire MOASA body, we will continue to keep them in our prayers.

Call to Prayer:
We humbly call upon all MOASA members to unite in earnest prayer for our mothers who have been affected. Let us seek God’s healing, protection, and strength upon them and their families during this time.

Lesson from this experience:

Keeping God’s commandments, worshipping on the Sabbath, and actively engaging in ministry do not guarantee complete protection from life’s uncertainties and challenges. We remain vulnerable to the realities and opposing forces of this world in both our personal and collective journeys.

That is why Christ, in His divine wisdom, admonishes His followers to remain firmly connected to the Vine and to be watchful in every season.

Mark 13:33 reminds us:
“Watch and pray always, that you may be counted worthy…”

And Ephesians 6:18 encourages us:
“Praying always with all prayer… and watching with all perseverance…”

Young people, we must remain vigilant and prayerful at all times so that we may be accounted worthy to overcome the snares and temptations of the enemy and his agencies.

Noken ting olsem yumi wokmanmeri bilong God na yumi lus tingting long stretim wokabaut bilong yumi wantaim Bikpela olgeta taim.
We must not assume that because we serve God, we can neglect maintaining a right and consistent walk with Him.

We may still face accidents—whether on land, sea, or air—but through a consistent and faithful prayer life, we place ourselves under God’s continual guidance and protection.

I remain committed and am praying for each and every one of you, MOASA members.

Stay safe always in God’s presence.
Wishing you all God’s blessings and a blessed Sabbath.

Yours in Students Ministry

ACS Mothers Injured in Road Accident Along Hiritano Highway

YumiBloPles | 30 April 2026

A group of mothers from the ASC of Morata Seventh-day Adventist Church were involved in a road accident along the Brown River section of the Hiritano Highway on Thursday.

The incident occurred as the group was returning from a visit to their branch church pastor at Vanapa. Details surrounding the cause of the accident remain unclear at this stage, but members of the church community have confirmed that the women were traveling together when the incident happened.

Church members and the wider community have since expressed concern and are calling for prayers and support for those affected.

“We are asking everyone to uphold our mothers in prayer during this difficult time,” a church member shared through a WhatsApp group message.

Another member added, “They had just completed a fellowship visit, and this unfortunate incident has deeply affected us all. We trust in God for their protection and healing.”

The condition of those involved has not yet been officially confirmed, and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.

🌿 Sabbath Reflections | LASA Newsletter 🌿

Today’s Sabbath School at Igam Barracks was a simple yet powerful reminder that faith doesn’t need to be loud to be life-changing. Through heartfelt songs, meaningful sharing, and a unifying theme, we were all challenged to reflect deeper on our walk with Christ.

✨ “I am on an eternal journey to reflect Jesus.”
This journey is not about perfection, but about daily surrender; choosing humility, extending grace, and trusting God even when the path is unclear.

Despite small delays, God’s presence was evident, and hearts were touched. This is what true fellowship looks like;growing together, strengthening one another, and keeping our eyes fixed on Him.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who continues to support LASA through prayers and participation. The mission continues, and the journey goes on.

Today we had a blessed and productive learning experience with sessions facilitated by Pastor Lenorad Sumatau and his team:

Topics Covered:

Spiritual Leadership – Pastor Lenorad Sumatau

Reporting – Pastor Moses Melua

Governance – Pastor Lenorad Sumatau

Conflict Resolution – Pastor Robert Jonathan

A key agenda item raised during the “Matters Arising in Students Ministry” discussion related to the involvement of Secondary School Adventist Students in PNGATSA.

Good discussions were made on:

How PNGATSA can collaborate with secondary school students

How PNG Union Mission can provide support to put proper structure in place

Systemizing the pathway from Local Church → Conference → Union Mission under Public Campus Ministry (PCM)

Resolutions for this agenda will be finalized and presented at the end of the Summit on 14th January.

Overall, we thank God for the unity, learning spirit, and leadership growth among all delegates. More updates will follow as the Summit continues.

5th biennial Convention December 14-21th
THEME: Empowered For The Final Crisis

MOASA President’s Message

Dear Fellow Members, Stakeholders and Delegates of the Morobe Adventist Students Association (MOASA), warm heavenly greetings to you all in the lovely name of our Master, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who raises men for His own praise glory from past ages, even today He still leads,Amen.

The last twenty-one months have been a defining season for MOASA. Together, we have faced challenges that tested our faith, our leadership, and our unity. We cried together, we laughed together, and we learned together. From the central hub of Lae City to the coastal and northern fronts of Morobe; from the valleys through the rugged mountains to the furthest reaches of our province, God has faithfully led His young people.

As a missionary dynamic student movement, MOASA exists to answer the Great Gospel Commission of Matthew 28:18–20—“Go therefore and make disciples…” This divine mandate has guided both our leadership and our ministry. Leadership is not without its burdens, and ministry is not without its sacrifices. Many of you understand this deeply. As leaders and members, we have faced trials within our churches, schools, and communities while striving to reflect the love of Christ as young Christians living in this challenging times.

We have earnestly sought to be faithful ambassadors of Christ in our lives. Yet we acknowledge, with humility, that we have failed Him many times. Still, God has not withdrawn His call from us. He continues to trust us. Ellen G. White reminds us that “In every human being He discerned infinite possibilities” (Education, p. 18). Despite our weaknesses, God sees the potential for greater good in our lives and leadership.

God’s all-seeing eyes rest upon each one of you. Whether you come from the deep bush of Kawung, the isolated regions of Siasi or Finschhafen, the often-neglected communities of Huon Gulf, or the distant lands beyond the hundred mountains of Menyamiya—Kwayu, Komako, Kaintiba, or Aseki—God knows you and He calls you by your God given name. Whether from Wau-Waria, the so-called cowboy country of Bulolo, or the sunny plains of the Markham Valley, you are seen and valued by Heaven.

Regardless of family background—rich or poor—regardless of skin colour, name, size, or social standing, and regardless of what people may say or think about you, the God who formed you in your mother’s womb sees something uniquely intentional in you. He has placed within you gifts He desires to develop and use for His glory. That is why He has personally called each one of us.

God knows that the times ahead will be difficult. This is why He calls His young people to be prepared. As Ellen G. White writes, “The greatest want of the world is the want of men—men who will not be bought or sold… men who in their inmost souls are true and honest” (Education, p. 57). This convention is not accidental. We are here because God is preparing His people—empowered by His Spirit—for the Final Crisis.

As the President of National Morobe Adventist Students Association (MOASA) for the 2024–2025 Conquonium, it is my humble privilege to welcome you all. We gather at the feet of our Master and Lord, allowing Him to counsel us, refine us, and empower us through this 5th MOASA Biennial Convention for the Final Crisis

May this convention strengthen our leadership, deepen our faith, and recommit us to God’s mission.

Be blessed.
Jesus Leads.

GOD'S VISION OUR MISSION

EMPOWERED FOR THE FINAL CRISIS

Photos from Morobe Adventist Students Association's post 20/12/2025

Blessed Sabbath, MOASA family 🙏

In the quiet hours of the early morning, at the 5th Biennial MOASA Convention site, our delegates are already at work—distributing Bibles, The Great Controversy, discipleship materials, and scrolls 📜. What we are witnessing is nothing short of God’s miracle in motion. This very community once rejected the Adventist faith—closing doors to church construction, stopping camp meetings, and even resisting MOASA from hosting this Convention. Today, those same doors are open. Hearts are open. Ears are attentive. Night after night, and again at early-bird devotions, the community listens eagerly to God’s final call with genuine interest.

A place once known as Jericho walls now trembles at its foundations. By God’s power, those walls are collapsing—once and for all. This is a living testimony that when God goes before His people, no resistance can stand forever.

God is intentionally investing in the energy, faith, and courage of young people. He is choosing to work through them for the salvation of a perishing world, the strengthening of His Church, and the advancement of His mission—for His glory alone. The time has come for the Church, with sincerity and purpose, to embrace and live out the General Conference theme: “I Will Go – Refocus.” We must refocus on young people as the driving force of a Disciple-Making Movement.

The Church can—and will—accomplish far more when she intentionally refocuses her attention, resources, and trust on her army of energetic, mission-driven youth. When young people are empowered, aligned, and released for mission, the results are transformative and eternal.

GOD’S VISION

OUR MISSION:
EMPOWERED FOR THE FINAL CRISIS
