I did not seek advise from Hon P O’Neill when I resigned from his government in April 10 , 2019. I did not force him to resign and I don’t need advise from him to run political numbers to keep my Government.

He should know how I do numbers, when Ben Micah resigned in 2016 and all political heavyweights were in 2016 at the then Laguna camp, I took his numbers to the 2016 Alotau camp and helped him back in office.

And he must be reminded that the PM seat is not a birth right for PO or JM. He was PM legally from 2012 to 2018 by Grace of God and grace of elected leaders. And I am today PM by that same Grace of God and grace of leaders, and when that favor shifts, I will accept and not fight like him.

PM seat is not my birthright and unlike him who does not see MPs as his equivalent, I see all my colleagues in Parliament, irrespective of length of tenure in office as equals, all qualify to be PM, and if in November or anytime majority shifts from me to a better leader, I will accept so long as the new majority leader puts the interest of fighting for people’s resources to the forefront of his work.

In the meantime I will continue to serve for our country’s interest. This country is bigger then PO and JM, so let’s build next generation of leaders who will carry the fight for a better PNG instead of living in a self gratifying view that you and only you have all answers for this country.

If your development formulae was correct, this country will not be in the mess as it is today, the mess that I am tidying up including fighting to win more from our resources.

I rose up from the rural enclaves of PNG’s forgotten areas, so for what ever time that is left in me in this office, I will work to the best of my abilities, until then I do not need advises from former PM’s who contributed to present mess and quagmire we (PNG) swimming in.
