There was once a young eagle that lived among chickens. Every day, the eagle watched the chickens scratch the ground, flap their wings a little, and stay close to the fence. Because he grew up with them, he believed he was just another chicken.
One day, an old eagle flew high above the farm. The young eagle looked up in amazement and asked, “What kind of bird is that?”
The chickens replied, “That is the eagle, the king of the skies. But don’t waste your time looking at him. You are just like us.”
So the young eagle lowered his head and continued living like a chicken. He never discovered that he was born to fly higher than all the others.
Don’t Compare Yourself to Others. Many people spend their lives comparing themselves with friends, classmates, workmates, relatives, or even strangers on social media. We compare looks, money, success, talents, education, relationships, and achievements. But comparison is dangerous because it steals joy, confidence, and peace from our hearts.
Every person in this world is created differently. Just like flowers in a garden, not all flowers bloom at the same time. The sunflower grows differently from the rose. The mango tree does not produce fruit at the same time as the banana tree. Yet each one is valuable in its own way.
In life, some people succeed early while others succeed later. Some people are naturally talented in sports, others in music, leadership, teaching, or business. That does not mean one person is better than another. It simply means we all have different journeys and different purposes.
When you compare yourself, you begin to focus on what you lack instead of appreciating what you already have. You may start believing you are not good enough. You may lose confidence in your own abilities. Worse still, comparison can create jealousy, bitterness, and sadness.
Instead of comparing yourself to others, compare yourself to the person you were yesterday. Ask yourself: “Am I improving? Am I learning? Am I becoming better?” Real success is not about being better than someone else. It is about becoming the best version of yourself.
Remember this: people only show their highlights, not their struggles. The person you envy today may be fighting battles you know nothing about. Everyone has challenges behind closed doors.
Believe in your own journey. Your time will come. Your talents matter. Your story matters. You do not need to copy someone else to become successful.
The eagle in the story failed to fly because he believed what others said about him. Many people today are living below their potential because they keep comparing themselves with others. Do not let comparison stop you from discovering who you truly are.
Stand tall. Be confident. Work hard. Appreciate your progress. And most importantly, never forget that you were created unique for a reason.

It all started when conversations about Jarome Luai and the PNG Chiefs began spreading everywhere online, in the streets, everywhere you turned. I couldn’t help but think deeper about it. In Papua New Guinea, there is a word that carries weight “Luluai.”
It doesn’t just mean a word… it means a chief. A leader. Someone who stands strong when it matters most.
Then I looked at the name Jarome Luai. “Luai”… it sounds like “Luluai.” At first, it felt like coincidence. But the more I thought about it, the harder it was to ignore. Across PNG, millions are talking, watching, and forming their own views, not just about a player, but about something bigger. One voice. One pride.
One question remains…Is he already seen as our Luluai? 🇵🇬🔥

Back in December 2023, while many were raising concerns about the absence of the Nakanai MP at home, and also about poor service delivery in Nakanai District, I posted on my old Facebook account that the Nakanai MP was still in hiding. I said he would come out in full force leading into the 2027 election to work on unfinished projects, completing some, while deliberately leaving others halfway as a strategy to win more votes.
Now look around, it is unfolding exactly as predicted. Are we truly demanding real leadership or are we the ones still comfortable with leaders who only show up when it suits them and leave projects unfinished?
