PAYMENT OF IP DISTRICT SCHOOL FEES CONTINUES

REF: UOG, SMBU TRS COLLEGE, GOROKA TECH and HIGHLANDS REG. NURSING SCHOOL RECEIVE CHEQUES.

The Tertiary Students of Ialibu/Pangia through out the county and overseas had recieved their school fees subsidies through the TFFS program .
Yesterday; 13/07/2023 and Today; numerous cheques were paid into the school accounts and is continuing.. Copies of the cheques with the lists of students attending universities, colleges, and technical colleges, nursing schools and others will be presented via email or whatsapp to the registrar of each institution.
The IPDDA representatives arrived at the University of Goroka at around 10am yeaterday in the morning after visiting chimbu teachers College.
A cheque of k450,000,00 was handed over to the UOG School Administration in the presence of crowd Ialibu Pangia Students with their District President- Mr. Joe Wala..
In a Keynote speech by Mr. Welen (Staff/Registrar assiating Students Loan); he appraise the efforts putfort by the Ialibu/Pangia DDA.. He further thank our local MP-Hon. Peter O'Neill for a never ending support for the students of IP.. He made mention that; UOG is facing financial issues, thus; this funds will help the Univeratiy facilitate programs for semeater 2...
The student Preaident of Ialibu/Pangia Stds Assoc. Mr Wala,said, this is a great relief. A timely intervention made by the former Prime minister and Member for Ialibu Pangia Hon. Peter O'Neill. He added on saying, most students attending the University will give their very best to complet their studies and make sure to graduate with high GPA.
Meanwhile; a Cheque of k26,000,00, was presented to the Simbu Teachers College registrar in the presence of all students..
Two other Cheques of K8,000 & K6,000 were also presneted to Goroka Technical College & Highlands Regional School of Nursing reapectively..
The students attending this colleges were overwhelmed and they acknowledged their local member

We have made it regardless of the tough times.

This year has been a very trying year with the prevalence of COVID-19 that resulted in the limited weeks in the semesters. However, we have managed to overcome all odds and now we are heading towards the end of September.
With this the association would like to take this time to welcome the final year students who returned from your TP and IT. You are the heros of your own ways and you should be proud of that.
Besides, we also want to say thank you to our Great God who has been so good through out the year regardless of the difficulties that we have been through. Yes, we have been through a lot of overwhelming circumstances but He was with us that enables us to reach this far.

On the same token, we also want to say special thank you to you all for being obedient to sort out our issues in terms of contributions in cash or kind. You were truly the best and we will never forget that. Further, we leave our sincere apologies if we have been rude sometimes to anyone in the course of discharging out responsibilities.
Hence, tomorrow will be the time to elect our new executives and we call on each and everyone to attend this meeting. It is very important because these leaders will lead this association in year 2022 in which it is a very critical year in terms of general elections.
Therefore, we would like you the students to appoint the leaders that will lead the association next year.

All in all, thank you and may God lead us through the remaining days.
