Concretely,
‘Arioi Access is a monthly subscription giving access each week to a video, available in 4 languages (French, English, Spanish, Tahitian) on a subject of our Culture. And a great pride for the trio is that the videos are produced and broadcast from the ‘Arioi Cultural Center in Papara.
By sharing knowledge, it is also the sharing of Polynesian values and codes of life that Hinatea, Moe and Peter wish to make accessible to all. And this sharing is reflected in the model of ‘Arioi, which is a social and solidarity enterprise, and which undertakes, through its statutes to use 10% of its profits annually for charitable purposes
For 2 years the funds raised have been invested in the building of the cultural center in Papara and in the purchase of materials. The goal of ‘Arioi Access now is to support the cultural projects of associations and schools in Tahiti and the islands.
At the service of Culture
Committed to the promotion and transmission of Polynesian culture since 2008, at the age of 23 that Hinatea Colombani launched her first project: a Tahitian dance school called Matehaunui, which she opened in the municipality of Papara. In 2009, she was spotted by promoters abroad and began to travel the world to teach her passion.
In 2016, the cultural and artistic center ‘Arioi in Papara was founded by Hinatea and her companion Moe Meder. Their vision is to create a cultural and community space for transmission.
One passionate about the arts and the other by agriculture, they decide to combine their passions and know-how. Guardrail of projects, Moe and attached to the Earth and its core values. He orchestrates and animates
with passion the workshops and the training of future animators.
Their friend Peter, a computer scientist, joined them in the adventure in 2017 and suggested launching online courses to take Hinatea and Moe's sharing to the next level.
During this year Hinatea integrates PRISM, the Tahiti incubator located at the CCISM, and submits the ‘Arioi Experience project, a platform for booking cultural activities combined with an application and online videos. The enthusiasm for these activities is such that the protagonists relegate the creation of online content to "later".
‘Arioi Experience is strongly positioned in the local and tourist market. Professional partnerships with major players such as the Museum of Tahiti and its Islands and the airline company Air Tahiti Nui solidify the advance of the ‘Arioi.
Success has been there since 2016, but the recent health crisis linked to COVID-19 has shaken up this well-oiled mechanism and cultural experiences are put on standby ....
Optimism and daring will allow this trio of young Polynesians passionate about their culture and the history of their countries to focus on digital technology. This is how " ’Arioi Access", a project in the making for over 2 years, finally takes shape during containment and is now available to the whole world.
‘ARIOI ACCESS is about the Tahitian culture, of course, but it’s more.
It’s about connecting humans.
It’s about being true to others, to our ancestors.
It’s about connecting back to our Earth.
