We offer a unique opportunity to study Spanish while immersed in Peruvian culture.

We are an association created in June 2013 and recognized and registered in the Public Registry of Cusco (Peru) as a nonprofit non-government organization (NGO) (since 2013). We offer different options to learn Spanish and for anyone interested great volunteer opportunities - definitely the best way to learn Spanish quickly! Your Spanish studies will not be confined to a classroom with lots of exc

ursions around the beautiful town of Urubamba where we are based. We also encourage students to participate in a range of other activities that help you make the most of your time in Peru, examples are: Quechua Language Courses, workshops on Latin American / Peruvian Culture, and free daily activities, such as: discovering the countryside, home-stay opportunities with Peruvian families, Cine Latino American, etc…these also give students the opportunity to apply the Spanish you have learnt - this combination of Spanish studies and cultural activities is what we feel distinguishes our Seize The Day foundation. Thanks to your donations Seize The Day - Esperanza and its volunteers have managed to distribute school supplies in a poor local community "Socma" on the outskirt of Urubamba....the kids can also learn to write and read - it simply starts with books and pens!

Hace tres días nuestros voluntario fueron a las comunidades a repartir cuadernos y lapiceros para los niños ahora que empieza la época escolar en la comunidad de Socma.

Mañana es la fiesta principal en Urubamba donde los urubambinos juegan con agua y cerpentia - comemos el famoso TIMPU comida tipica por los carnavales. Mas información en la pagina de abajo

Yesterday and today protests across Peru are in effect for two reasons. First reason is to stop the development of pipeline between Cuzco and Chinchero. Second reason is to stop inflation of transportation costs and food costs across the country. This has been difficult for working class families to make ends meet.

Thanks to your generous donations - we have been able to distribute food and clothes directly to children and families from a poor rural community outside Urubamba...They are people living out or below the poverty line & unable to reach the city...
