A very quick trip to Pucallpa to go to the final celebration for Vil’s bible school program. Lost of time playing and hanging out. #

There will be more updates in the next several days, but I had some pretty awesome hugs today!

I cannot believe it has been about five years since leaving Peru. I get to practice Spanish daily with my students here in Kansas, but one student in Peru is never far from my heart. I learned and worked beside Brayan the last couple years before the pandemic hit and do miss him and his family greatly. In the upcoming weeks his family will load a boat and head back to Pucallpa to finish the pastoral training program. Brayan, now a ten year old, will return to class with Amanda in Refugio de Esperanza (Refuge of Hope) a school founded to support learners with special needs. His siblings are now both school age and will join the regular classrooms at the same school. Living in town will help with the crazy transportation logistics that we faced when he was younger.

This young couple will be a light in an area of the world that most of us will never see. They are perfectly positioned to take the Word to the “ends of the earth,” and are a family that would appreciate your prayers and support as they live out a grace filled faith in a small community in the Amazon.

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to support them financially. I can send funds to Vil that will help them on their journey and help them finish their pastoral program. We are also looking into a scholarship program that would help Brayan continue his education in the future.

Los tres. Man, are the three kids growing! They are in summer vacation now and are getting to see family!

¡Hola, amigos! An important prayer request. My friend Ester (who makes all the beautiful jewelry and embroidery) her son is currently in the intensive care unit post-surgery to a remove a tumor from his face. She is only allowed to see Rogher once a day for five minutes. Please pray for his recovery and provision for their family.

An update from Amanda. She is the missionary that is assisting with the program that Brayan attended in Pucallpa. Please keep their school and the for the future plans in your prayers!

Latest Photos of the Arevelo kids. They are growing so very fast! They are on summer break now so they will be able to spend lots of time together until March.
