We’re excited to announce that NYCB is producing a free streaming 2020 Digital Spring Season beginning tomorrow, April 21. Every Tuesday and Friday at 8 PM for six weeks, we’ll release new recordings of complete ballets or a selection of excerpts. Tuesday releases will be devoted to repertory by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, and Friday releases will feature contemporary pieces by some of today’s most exciting choreographers. Follow us here to catch these streams every week.

We’re also launching three new opportunities to learn remotely from NYCB artists at no cost: , a series of ballet-inspired movement classes taught by NYCB Associate Artistic Director Wendy Whelan on Instagram Live, every Wednesday at 5 PM; a series of live virtual Ballet Essentials interactive educational workshops led by NYCB artists, every Monday and Thursday at 6 PM; and Ballet Breaks workshops for movers aged 3-8 years old and taught by NYCB artists, every Saturday at 11 AM. The season opens tomorrow night at 8 PM EDT with a performance of Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante. Recorded in the winter of 2017 and featuring Principal Dancers Tiler Peck and Andrew Veyette in the lead roles, Allegro Brillante will be presented with an introduction from NYCB Artistic Director Jonathan Stafford.
