Speakers of any language use profane language. Some speakers use it more often than others, but any speaker would probably recognize profanity in their native language almost immediately and would react to it on a continuum of emotions raging from shock to humor. Should language teachers not teach profane language to avoid shocking other listeners or should teachers teach it to spice up their language lessons and add some humor to class?
