Newton College was founded in 1979, inspired by the traditions of the British private school system and driven by the innovations of the International Baccalaureate curriculum. From its outset we have always believed that education must be transformative and lead to a more caring and just world. In 1986 we became the first school in Peru to deliver the IB Diploma Programme and since then Newton students have continued their studies in the best universities in Peru and throughout the world. We inspire our students to explore, question, learn from their mistakes, think creatively and critically, analyse from different perspectives, evaluate rationally and ethically, apply their knowledge and understanding to different contexts. We nurture their emotional and social growth, fostering our school values – respect, integrity, commitment and empathy – in a safe and secure environment.

🌎 Leadership beyond borders, service with purpose.

Alessia Cordero, Form V student, represented Peru at the Operation Smile International Student Leadership Conference in Bangkok, where she exchanged ideas with international peers and deepened her understanding of leadership, service and community impact. 💡

Now, as President of the Operation Smile CAS Club, Alessia brings that learning back to Newton, turning global perspectives into meaningful action.

Student voice in action. 💚

Aura Gilbert, a Lower School student, had the opportunity to participate in an encounter with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where she confidently stepped forward to ask him a question.

Moments like this show how confidence and communication skills can come to life beyond the classroom. The ability to formulate a question, speak in front of others and engage with confidence develops over time through meaningful opportunities to participate, express ideas and find one’s voice.

We are proud to see Aura putting those skills into practice. 👏

💚 Some of the most meaningful memories are shared across generations.

For Grandparents’ Day, our Early Years students welcomed their grandparents into the classroom to share a little of their everyday world.

With shared activities, handmade gifts and moments of laughter, children celebrated the special people who encourage, inspire and support them in so many ways.

At Newton, opening the classroom to families strengthens the partnership that helps children learn with confidence, curiosity and joy.

💡 Learning by doing, growing for the future.

As part of Junior Achievement’s La Compañía, our Form V students developed business projects that challenged them to apply what they know, test their ideas, take on responsibilities and make decisions beyond the classroom.

From organising teams and managing resources to developing products and presenting their ideas, every stage became an opportunity to grow, broaden their perspective and strengthen their leadership skills.

Newton Football Festival 2026 ⚽️

More than a game, it’s a tradition that brings our community together.

The Newton Football Festival is a sporting experience where teamwork, participation and enjoyment come first.
Every student has the opportunity to step onto the pitch, challenge themselves, support their teammates and grow through sport.

Beyond the scores and results, the festival celebrates resilience, leadership, sportsmanship and the joy of giving your best, in an environment where students can learn, compete and enjoy the game together.

🏆 More than a competition.

For the first time at Newton, the Upper School had its own Olympiads, bringing Lancaster, Tudor, Windsor, and York together for a day of teamwork, determination, and House pride.

This new initiative was proposed and organised by our Student Council, giving students the opportunity to take an active role in creating a new House experience.

Across every match and shared moment, students encouraged one another, celebrated achievements, and represented their Houses with commitment.
