Developing global leaders through real-world experiences 🌏

Last year, our Newton GAIL delegation travelled to Australia to participate in the GAIL Conference – Leadership for Tomorrow, engaging in an immersive experience that challenged them to think critically, adapt to new environments, and collaborate across cultures.

Beyond the classroom, students engaged with Australia’s unique natural environment — from native wildlife to diverse ecosystems — deepening their understanding of sustainability and global responsibility as internationally minded learners.

This journey is not an endpoint, but part of a continuous process of growth.

Now, a new chapter begins as we look ahead to GAIL India — where the next group of students will continue building the skills and mindset required to navigate an increasingly interconnected world. ✈️

Food waste is a global issue — and education is part of the solution. 🌍♻️

At Newton College, our Middle Years Programme (MYP) interdisciplinary learning encourages students to question everyday habits and understand the real impact of food waste on the planet.

With nearly one third of all food wasted each year, valuable resources are lost and greenhouse gas emissions increase — affecting us all.

By exploring real-world challenges, students develop critical thinking, environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility for the future.
