Tinkuy Peru

With only a three day trip into Tinkuy Peru, we were able to arrange for the next futbol match for the elders (12+), a trip to the zoo for the juniors (5-11), provide uniforms for the children and bottled drinking water.
We hope that you will want to do the same by offering so much more- time, patience and love.
This is my second visit to Tinkuy Peru and the faces of the children that remembered me were priceless.
I hope you have this amazing experience and take back what this trip has taught me about what life is all about- Joy and happiness with what you have and love for those around.

We recently teamed up with a local Optician who offered to run an Eye Health Campaign at Tinkuy. He and his staff gave up a day to come and test 80 children's eyes free of charge and offer them advice on how best to protect their eyes in this climate where solar radiation is high and many suffer from probems with their sight. Out of 80 children 54 needed glasses and all enjoyed picking out their frames. For those who didn't need glasses, they received sunglasses instead. Yesterday, the long-awaited day arived and the everyone received their shiny, new glasses complete with a lesson on how best to look after them. Thanks to the generosity of those who donated and the Optician here, these children no longer have to worry about not being able to see the board or read for long periods of time without their eyes irritating them. Thank you to everyone who participated to make this project possible.
