Our February classes are starting to pop up on our website for registration, but I wanted to share this NEW class that I’ll be teaching on the absolute SCOURGE that is AI and how it affects the crafting world. As a shop owner I get a lot of folks in here with questions about their projects - why don’t my sweater pieces line up? Why isn’t the cat’s body the right shape? Why don’t my stitches look like the embroidery kit photo? - and too often the answer is because the pattern or the pictures were generated by AI! And each time the person is shocked and asks how I can tell that it’s AI. If that’s a question you find yourself asking too, come to this discussion to learn why AI is awful and we should all hate its infection into the crafting world, how to identify AI generated images, and what to look for in patterns to avoid getting tricked by AI slop. Then we’ll put our new skills to the test with a collection of images and patterns to sort out what’s real and what is AI garbage.
