Father's Day, even though we can't be together, we still want to show our appreciation to those men that work hard to take care of their families. Here is the teacher's meeting of Father's Day, such an special time!

Part of our work is supporting parents. For that reason, we had a wonderful Second Session of Parenting School. Doctor Raul was able to instruct parents on how to face stress and depression, as well as alternatives that would help them reach their potential in God. What a blessing!

As part of the development of our teachers, we offer VBI (Victory Bible School) every week. One of the blessings of the pandemic is that we were able to get in touch with teachers from around the world. Here is pastor Gustavo from Argentina, we were blessed by his teachings.

During this pandemic, our staff, teachers, students, and parents have faced stress and depression. As a response, our teachers started small groups called Pionero At Home. In those groups, parents receive counseling and support through Bible studies.

As part of the empowering process for our teachers who deal with parents that face stress, we organized a training hour with Dr. Raul Añari, a Christian psychiatrist, well known in our city for his work. We learned how to support those parents facing stress and depression, and the next support steps. What a blessing!

We are grateful that our students can keep working, learning new habilities when using computers.

Today is Flag Day!! So we are celebrating virtually. Here is teacher Franz encouraging his students and sharing stories about our culture.

While still in virtual classes, most students work with a cellphone, WhatsApp, and Meet. Most families have two or more children, and can't afford to buy a computer or tablet, let alone two or more for the children to use. So for several hours every day, moms, dads, uncles, aunts, grandparents, neighbors, and friends give up their devices in order to help them. Still, several families don't have a single smartphone yet. We are grateful to the Lord for the families that can use their cellphones, and we pray for God's provision for the families that don't have one yet. We also pray for those little eyes, having to focus on small screens for so many hours.

Extract from our newsletter: We are finishing the third month of virtual classes, and by the grace of God we are moving forward. Parents and students are working hard as teams in order to help students achieve their learning goals. There is a lot of political unrest in the country right now, which, added to the pandemic and economic hardship, can cause a lot of stress on the parents. That is why we have started online bible study groups with the parents where the home teacher leads the group. In this way, we are able to reach several parents in a more personal way, and teachers are able to counsel families in need.

With virtual classes, even celebrations are done online! Here are some K4 students celebrating the National Day of Kindergarten.

Today is the turn of teacher Franz from fifth grade. He is a former student of El Pionero, he prepared to be a teacher, married another former student (Betsaida), and teaches in El Pionero. His children also attend El Pionero. He and his family are convinced of the work God does in the life of each child. What a blessing to have him here
