When you want to learn a New language you can't focus only on one skill or take passive actions, you have to be active and use all the resources available.

📕Reading helps you with vocabulary and is the most natural way to learn how to use those little words (prepositions, and articles) that were my headache in those days.

📺I used to watch tv, but not for pleasure. I used to watch TV with my notebook next to me and a pencil to write down new words or phrases and also copy dialogues.

I used the close caption(english subtitles) to read and listen, and I was a walking 🦜parrot. I used to repeat wverything, especially the difficult words.

If you are an independent learner it will require a lot of work but totally worth it; if you have a teacher you have half help, but still you have to take control and be responsible for your learning.

Never give up, English has opened many doors for me, and is one of the best things that I could do.

on a previous post you saw how to pronounce "focus".

Today here I share two phrases:

📌Focus on(concentrar en)
She focuses on learning vocabulary, but not phrases or chuncks. (Ella se enfoca en aprender vocabulario, pero no frases.)

📌Into focus ( un estado cuando algo se puede ver claramente o se entiende bien).
"I want to bring autonomous learning into focus."
Quiero hablar sobre el aprendizaje autónomo para que se entienda bien.

📌Xtra tip: puedes encontrar muchos ejemplos con las palabras que estás aprendiendo en Skell. es una página gratuita para ver que tan frecuente se usa una frase y se puede ver la frecuencia con la que se usa.

📌Small groups (6 students) that way I can give feedback to all of you
📌2 live classes vía zoom. Each class is 60 to 90 minutes long.
📌Small tasks to do the days we don't have classes.
