Afrolatino Travel

Afrolatino Travel Travel Diasporadically! The premier resource for the African Diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean - diasporic social,

Important to note, we are not a travel agency, we are a travel collective and consult, build and create Afrodescendant centered custom trips, tours, itineraries and social and cultural and community-building exchanges. We do not book or offer flights unless it is noted on specific trips. We will also gladly recommend airline and charter companies that align with your destination.

Casa do Carnaval da Bahia is an interactive museum in Salvador’s Historic Center dedicated to the history, music, artists, blocos, costumes, instruments, dances, and technologies that created Bahia’s Carnaval. It is considered Brazil’s first museum devoted specifically to the history and memory of Carnaval. The Casa do Carnaval da Bahia brings this history to life through the afoxés, blocos afros, trios elétricos, costumes, dances, and rhythms.

Come experience Salvador with us on an AfroLatinx Travel group trip in 2027:

✨ MY RIO FAVES: DIASPORA DASH PICKS ✨

My most humiliating dining experience happened at a Black-owned restaurant in Rio. So I’m sharing the Black-owned businesses that, based on my own experiences, actually like and welcome Black people (and also employ them to work there).

Agô Restaurant Àgò Restaurante ® | Cozinha Autoral in Santa Teresa was warm and welcoming. The food and drinks were delicious, the space was beautiful, and even during the busy of Carnaval, the manager went out of her way to come over, speak with us, and make us feel at home. We had a wonderful time.

📍 Agô – Bar da Encruza
Rua Áurea, 30, Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷

And luckily, Rio has been added to select 2027 AfroBrazil group trips!

Take advantage of our early-bird special through September 17:

✨ $250 off
✨ Just $250 down
✨ Payment plans available
