Career Wise Colorado is the first state-wide program in the US to connect high school students to apprenticeships, combining with in professional environments. Taking this play from the Swiss approach to education, they are already seeing remarkable results!

New School - 5280 Colorado is launching a first-in-the-country apprenticeship program that’s designed to let students earn it all: a diploma, a degree, and a middle-class wage. The best part? It’s free.

Two studies from the 1920's & 1930's show the remarkable results that can have on "under-performing" youth. Key ingredients included:
1) Freedom to study whatever you want for as long as you want
2) Freedom to go wherever you want to learn in a hands-on environment
3) Mixed-aged groups to let peer-to-peer learning naturally unfold.

Another Example of Less Teaching Leading to More Learning Delinquent boys made huge academic gains when freed from classroom lessons.

How can we make powerful learning experiences more accessible? How can we open up constructive dialogue between people with opposing views? How can we incorporate mindfulness and holistic thinking into the education system?
