Hey classmates and fellow Zonians....Sherry Kern Keimig here....wanted to reach out to you all about remembering to keep up your membership to the Panama Canal Society. Without our continued support we could be in jeopardy of seeing our special legacy fall to the wayside. **Happy New Year everyone. Hoping everything is going ok. Seems as time continues it gets a bit harder to slow it down. Best of thoughts to everyone.

Johnny Martin from our class of 1971 has passed away. He was such a special person to CHS's ROTC program. I remember how sharp he always looked in his uniform, especially when presenting for the events at our stadium. Here is information about his service in January. If you live in or around Austin, hope you can attend and let him know we are saluting him up in heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend..........Sherry Kern Keimig

Received this information from Hila about another of our classmates passing away:

Just heard that Chris Bailey (Mott) passed away last night Nov. 29th). Step daughter Darla said she died from stage 4 cancer. Was sick for 3 months.

If we can get more info for memorials or donations, we will post it here.
