📺 : "I think it's the moral equivalent of a war crime, in many ways, the most serious crime of the post era. The consequences of what they have done are almost unimaginable."

🎞️ Watch it on .

⌛This is the most important story of our time. Despite climate chaos raging across the planet and urgent warnings from experts, our dependence on fossil fuels persists. How did we get here?

📢 To and the we say:

"You cannot even declare a Climate and Ecological Emergency, what is wrong with you?

You and your predecessors have chosen the sixth mass extinction and the death for billions of humans.

Change your evil ways now and sort out this mass killing. You are the major culprit. We are almost out of time so get on it!

And do not dare interfere in our land. You are not welcome here.

The people of the USA and the Citizens of Earth are welcome but foreign governments are not."

To the mainstream media we say:

"To report on the effects of climate change witthout reporting on the actual causes like unregulated capitalism and the oil majors is like reporting on terrorist attacks without mentioning the terrorists."

And to the rest we ask:

On which side of history are you going to be?

Please don't be complicit as this eco-genocide unfolds.

Don't be a bystander.

Governments worldwide have betrayed us.

They chose fossil fuels over our future.

They chose for a few to live like kings and queens whilst the majority suffers and toils.

So it's now or never.

🎨 El buen arte se comparte.

《✨🇵🇦✨》

🇵🇦 There's social unrest in Panama.

The country has been shut down by the people.

For over a week already.

Panama is:

#1 unequal country in Central America
#2 in Latin America
#6 worldwide

It's caused by corrupt governments, the IMF, the World Bank, and the political / economical systems that are also causing the sixth mass extinction.

And the Big Oil Cartel is simply profitting business as usual whilst the majority suffer and toil.

Now the Panamanian government will subsidise their profits.

And we, the people, will continue with neoliberal chains on us until we are ready to say no more.

But it doesn't have to be this way...

There's still time to turn this around.

But just about...

We must act now!

We only got 2 or 3 years...

The 7 hottest years on record globally have all taken place in the last 7 years.

It's our moral duty to sound the alarm on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.

Governments worldwide have betrayed us and left it to us, the people.

Millions are malnourished or starving because of chronic drought conditions and disrupted growing seasons.

Yes.

Look at Afrika.

The earth is still getting hotter and there is literally no end in sight because we are still opening new fossil fuel developments.

And the aviation, travel, language travel and tourism industries, are simply continuing business as usual.

The children and young people that we and our loved ones are responsible for will demand to know how we acted at this point in history.

Did we give up and sell them out? Or did we do something?

Dear friends and colleagues in the Language Travel industry:

The 7 hottest years on record globally have all been in the last 7 years.

Let's please be responsible and act now: ICEF, StudyTravel Ltd, Instituto Cervantes, IALC - International Association of Language Centres.

It's our moral duty to sound the alarm on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.

Millions are malnourished or starving because of chronic drought conditions and disrupted growing seasons.

The earth is still getting hotter and there is literally no end in sight because we are still opening new fossil fuel developments.

The aviation, travel, language travel and tourism industries, are simply continuing business as usual.

What is our response to this?

We are deep into a Planetary Crisis.

It's time to sound the alarm and change our ways.

The children and young people that we and our loved ones are responsible for will demand to know how we acted at this point in history.

Did we give up and sell them out?

Or did we do something?

260,000 children under the age of five starved in East Africa last year and climate breakdown was highlighted as the #1 cause.

Don't be complicit in this eco-genocide that we can still stop.

Very soon tipping points will be passed if we don't get these treacherous and murderous governments to change course.

Is it HOT around you? Over 20% of Earth will become uninhabitable within our lifetimes if we don't change course NOW.

How many more children have to die because we prefer to delay transitioning away from fossil fuels?

Are we going to wait until it's too hot for all the kids?

For all our children?

Or are we simply gonna let those in the sacrifice zones die and then begin to do something about it as it approaches our shores?

What on Earth have we done?

We gotta stop.

Burning fossil fuels has heated the planet.

The longer we delay, the more people will die (or be killed, depending on how you look at it).

Are you ready for another one? The combination of high heat and humidity can cause even the healthiest people to overheat and die.

Humans typically stay cool by sweating. As sweat droplets form on the skin, they evaporate in the heat and cool the skin, bringing down the body temperature.

However, sweat can only evaporate if the air is dry enough to take up moisture. Once the relative humidity surpasses 95%, your sweat will simply collect on your skin and make you feel even hotter and stickier.

When that humidity is combined with high heat (88 degrees Fahrenheit, 31.1° Celsius or higher), it's called wet bulb conditions.

Such conditions can be fatal, and they're happening earlier and in many more places than anticipated due to climate breakdown.

Scientists at Lamont–Doherty Earth Observatory, surveying data from weather stations between 1979 and 2017, found 7,000 instances of these conditions, mostly in South Asia, the coastal Middle East, and southwest North America.[1]

Wet-bulb conditions occur when relative humidity is above 95% and temperatures are at least 31.1° Celsius (88° Fahrenheit), or, a wet-bulb temperature of 35° Celsius (95° Fahrenheit)[1][2]

"Even if they're in perfect health, even if they're sitting in the shade, even if they're wearing clothes that make it easy in principle to sweat, even if they have an endless supply of water," co-author Radley Horton told VICE News. "If there's enough moisture in the air, it's thermodynamically impossible to prevent the body from overheating."

The science is clear.

Are you still going to insist that flying is your divine right?

Flying kills.

This is an emergency.

Let's only keep emergency flights to save lives and ditch the rest because it's time to STOP THE HARM.

Humanity in the patchwork of life 11/07/2022

"But here, there was evidence of a fundamentally different relationship, one that predates any civilisation I came from (which is: settlers, colonisers, Europeans way too much in their own dualistic Descartian heads, as I have come to learn). And that fundamentally different civilisation had at its core the respect, love, and preservation of the environment they depended on. The people of that civilisation were willing to risk everything, arrest, harm, violence, to stop the damage of fossil fuel pipelines on their environment.

Quite simply, here were humans standing WITH their world, rather than against it. The landscape this opened to me was breathtaking: a future of life and purpose in accordance with our world, rather than one of conflict and doomed damage.

Quite simply, humanity became human. Humanity became possible. Humanity became real.

I didn’t have to exist in conflict with others and the air, water, mountains, forests, plants and animals that surround me. I could exist with them. On their side, and the side my child and his friends. I could be on the side of life. And everyone else could too: our human cultures could shift to the side of the living world we depend upon, that we relate to.

It struck me that the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs have images of animals on their traditional cloaks. At the highest point of their human role, in their role of “honour” as Aristotle put it, they represent the animals living in the environment of their territories. I am trying not to fetishize, idealize or appropriate a culture that is clearly not mine, and that I am still so far from understanding. I am trying to explain to you, whose culture may be close to mine, what it means to me to see humans, leaders of their communities, marching under the banner of the forms of life: amphibian, bird, plant, insect. Scientifically, from the basic functioning of ecosystems, we know we are not separate from, and cannot live without, other forms of life. So seeing a culture that represents that interdependency, that relationship, at the highest level, made me realise that humanity has existed — and can exist again — far beyond Cartesian dualism."

Humanity in the patchwork of life This story is on borrowed time. Maybe you can borrow it, and make it part of yours too.

See those colors? Those are the colors of the Caribbean.

The colors of life.

Of an abundance of fish, of coral, and sea life.

There was a time when 95% of the coral species that existed in the Caribbean, also called Bocas del Toro, Panama, their home.

But those times are gone.

We've heated up the planet by burning fossil fuels and so far the vast majority of that heat has been absorbed by our oceans.

If it wasn't for our oceans, we'd be toast already.

They've taken the heat for us.

Maybe 90% of it?

But they're acidifying.

Yeah, look at the science.

When the H20 of the oceans take in the C02 of the atmosphere, things can get quite f**king scary. It's happenned before. In the Permian-Triasic.

By continuing to use fossil fuels, we're wiping out the corals, and by the mid of this century they'll probably be gone.

Where will the fish then go?

There's no where to hide.

It will be game over for them too.

And what about the BILLIONS of humans who NEED fish to survive?

If we get to that bit... f**k.

We're headed that way.

It's time to change course.

It's not simply a scorching hot summer.

We're heading for extinction.
