State-of-the-art facilities for fabrication, testing and load-out of ultra-large structures include automatic plate & pipe profile cutting machines, plate bending machines, automatic shot-blasting and painting facilities, automatic pipe spool fabrication facilities, plate girder fabrication facilities, state-of-the-art valve test bench, covered warehouses and in-house testing laboratories. The yard also has heavy-duty crawler cranes, Goliath cranes and a range of other material handling equipment. This facility is certified to: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and has Certificate of Authority to use the API monogram for products manufactured as per specifications API 5L & API 2B and is also authorize to use ASME ‘U’ & ‘S’ stamps and NBBI’s ‘R’ stamp. The yard was judged ‘Best Offshore Construction Yard’ in the GCC region at the Marine International Maritime Awards ceremony in 2011. A joint venture with the Zubair Corporation, Oman, this facility is committed to the development of local skills and conforms to all local regulations. A welder-training centre has been set up in the campus. Trade related training is imparted to the local youth.
