In the run-up to Graduation, parents of the Class of 2026 came together to celebrate the seniors with thoughtful gifts, honouring their achievements and the journey they have taken throughout high school.
It was a warm and meaningful gesture of care and pride, as families marked this important milestone and supported their children as they prepare to step into university and their pathways beyond school. A beautiful reminder of the strong, supportive community that surrounds our students.

The DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) team, led by Mr Richard Nies, Middle School Principal, held a meaningful meeting at ABA, sharing updates on the progress and ongoing work across the school community. The discussion reinforced the importance of fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment where every student feels a genuine sense of belonging.
At ABA, DEIB remains central to shaping our school culture and everyday practice. Student voice continues to play a key role in guiding this work, and our commitment remains clear: ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and care across our community.

A meaningful moment of service and impact at ABA.
We were delighted to welcome Ms. Sabah from the Early Intervention Centre in Ghala, and celebrate the impact of several student-led initiatives supporting the centre. Our RÊVE Club led a large stationery drive following their visit earlier this year, while James (Grade 7), representing EcoSoc, shared the success of the Pass It On Clothes Bank and Thrift Shop and presented nearly 80 OMR raised through sales. We were also proud of our Grade 3 students, who as part of their Marketplace Unit demonstrated creativity and entrepreneurship through product creation, budgeting, and selling. Together, these initiatives raised a total of 200 OMR alongside a substantial stationery donation, showcasing the power of student agency, service learning, and community impact.

Our Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award participants recently embarked on an expedition to Jebel Akhdar, hiking through rugged mountain terrain, navigating routes independently, camping under the stars, and exploring some of the highest points in Oman. Along the way, they planned their journey, managed their equipment, set up their own tents, and prepared meals using limited resources. More than an adventure, the expedition was a powerful learning experience that built resilience, teamwork, leadership, and independence. At ABA Oman International School, experiential learning is a cornerstone of an IB education, providing students with authentic opportunities to develop real-world skills, step beyond their comfort zones, and discover what they are truly capable of achieving.
