Indian School Darsait, started as a sister concern of Indian School Muscat in 1992, transformed as an independent identity in 1994 and moved into the present building with all advanced facilities required for a modern school in July 1998. The school is located on two plots of land measuring 5000 sq m each, in two buildings one each for Primary and Secondary / Higher Secondary. The school started with 127 students and 6 teachers and within a span of nearly 15 years, it has grown to a strength of about 2400 students , 105 academic staff and 15 administrative staff, today. The school follows syllabi prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Multimedia & Web Technology and Marketing as elective subjects in addition to the core subjects like English to the students of Classes XI and XII.
