Busy Bees Judsons Rd We are a beautiful early learning centre situated in Woodend.

With a large natural environment, home cooked meals and a team of caring, dedicated kaiako we provide an excellent environment for your tamariki to play, learn, grow and explore. Busy Bees Judsons Road is a purpose-built Early Learning Centre in Woodend, offering separate rooms for each age and stage of development, large natural outdoor playspaces and Nutritious Meals prepared by our own in-house chef!

A big thanks to Benji's whānau, his nanny has kindly made and donated these amazing wee stones for a making faces activity. These are beautifully hand painted. Our tamariki love them they were busy all day today exploring and creating. We're so lucky to have such amazing whānau in our centre.

Started our day off as builders today in te rūma o Clutha, learning about following instructions looking at diagrams and working out what the instructions say using our letter and phonics knowledge. We all had a turn at hammering and tighting screws and supporting each other as a team. Mā tini, mā mano, ka rapa te whai. With many hands working together, the work is achieved.

The Rakaia tamariki have been creative this morning, exploring with the science of puff paint. This is a great learning experience that can also be done at home. Below is the recipe. We would love to see your creations from home.
Puff paint:
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup salt
1 cup water
Food colouring

Mix all ingredients, paint your artwork, put in the microwave for 30 seconds and watch the magic happen.

Our Waimakariri and Clutha tamariki loved having our hoa jo in to teach them all about recycling ♻️ they took turns answering questions and putting their rubbish in the correct bins. They really loved Jo's interactive lesson and had heaps of fun. THANKS so lovely having these experiences for our tamariki.
