Manawatia a Matariki...our celebrations have started, including a yummy shared whanau breakfast and lots of learning about the different stars. Last week we focused on Waipuna-a-rangi since it was a rainy week, and wished upon Hiwa-i-te-rangi. Who wouldn't love a Mustang right? Through reading the pukapuka 'The Seven Kites of Matariki', we look forward to creating our own manutukutuku -let's see if Ururangi and Tawhitimatea bring us wind to fly them!

Our kaiako understand that motor skills build upon one another so we provide opportunities with each individual tamaiti in mind, from our youngest Pepe to our 5 year olds. Take a glimpse into our fine motor explorations

Pegs, pegs and more pegs! There is no better toy or tool to strengthen a child's finger and hand muscles (focussing on fine motor skills), than squeezing pegs, tongs or tweezers...what fun our tamariki have been having, with so many imaginative possibilities. Learning through play each and every day 😊

Our Kaiako not only support and extend our tamariki learning and interests, but get fully involved too! Our tamariki are currently loving group games, especially hide and seek 😄
