Ready to try something a little bit different?

Join us for a full-day creative workshop exploring the fun and slightly magical process of slip and stick decoration.

In the morning, you’ll hand-build your own vase, cup, plate, or small vessel. After lunch, we’ll move into decorating — painting with glaze onto newsprint, then transferring your design onto the piece you made.

The results are beautifully unpredictable, full of character, and completely unique. 🎨🏺

Perfect for beginners or those with some clay experience, we’ll guide you step by step.

Welcome to the world of wheel throwing at The Pottery Shed! New classes starting next week!

Our 5-week beginner course is designed to teach you all the basics and build a strong foundation on the wheel.

You’ll learn how to:
✅ Throw cylinders and bowls
✅ Trim and finish your pieces like a pro
✅ Create at least 4 pieces to glaze and fire (with the option to keep more!)

All clay and tools are provided, so just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

School holiday pottery pieces are ready to collect! 🎨

If your child joined us for the school holiday programme, their creations have now made their way through the kiln and are ready to head home.

To help make sure the right pieces find their way back to the right makers, please either bring your child with you when you collect, or bring a photo of what they made.

There are lots of wonderful creations waiting here, and this will help us match everything up quickly and easily.
