The children explored loose parts play using beautiful rainbow colours, developing their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills. As they sorted, stacked, arranged, and designed with the different materials, they were learning about colour recognition, patterns, balance, and early mathematical thinking. Working alongside others also encouraged communication, sharing ideas, and cooperative play, while strengthening fine motor skills and confidence through hands-on discovery.

Today the children engaged in hands-on exploration using loose parts, wooden shapes, and coloured sticks. They showed curiosity and creativity as they experimented with arranging materials in different ways. Jayden carefully used the coloured sticks to create a large house showing emerging understanding of geometry and spatial awareness, while Sarah and Elton sorted, matched, and combined shapes to create their own designs.
Through this experience the children were developing early mathematical concepts such as shape recognition, problem-solving, and patterning. They were also strengthening fine motor skills, concentration, and perseverance while working alongside others, sharing resources, observing ideas, and learning through collaborative play.

Today the children are learning through hands-on outdoor play by using chalk on the concrete. They are developing creativity and imagination while drawing and creating, as well as early maths and literacy skills through marks, shapes, numbers, or symbols. They are also building communication, problem-solving, and social skills as they share ideas and play together in the sunshine.

Through interacting with animals, children learn empathy, kindness, and how to care for living things. They develop communication and observation skills as they notice animal behaviours, respond to cues, and build relationships. Experiences with animals also encourage curiosity, responsibility, confidence, and an understanding of the natural world, supporting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
