At NKA, we see every day just how important communication and connection are in the early years.

That’s why we created Talk With Children - a Northland-wide movement encouraging adults and tamariki to connect through everyday conversation, play and shared moments.

The idea is simple: when we talk more with children, their language, confidence and connection with others grows.

This month we're focusing on connection.

Children thrive when they feel connected to the people around them.

Connection happens when we pay attention, listen, respond and join in.

Throughout July, we'll be sharing simple ways to strengthen connection and support communication through everyday moments with your tamariki.
